Did he already talk or is he just slated to at another time. I'm not giving TMZ the business by going to look... sleazebags... and it was this juror that could easily be swayed? if so I guess we saw how easy that was.

Hasnt spoken at all. His representative is shopping him out....

I am trying to understand how 12 jurors spent 11 hours of doing what? I cant believe they all went in their with the same opinion. Something seems amiss. If someone or even a few were lets say bullying into changing their minds, then they would be lying as they could not hold their own as they said they could when interviewed for jury selection. I just for one minute dont believe they all went in their with the same opinion. If they did why wait for 11 hrs and say it then.

They spent far less than the 11 hours if you believe they came in yesterday morning all dressed up because they knew there would be a verdict. I assume it took time to fill out the paperwork and discuss the fireworks from the night before, then talk about Holiday vacations.

It looks like a representative for juror #6 seeked out TMZ with a letter of "how much are you willing to pay?"

I really do believe that the jury took their duty seriously. I think that even if they came to the jury room for the first time all of the same mind, they went through the elements of each charge to make sure their thought applied to all.

As I have previously said, if one or two jurors hung the jury because of reasonable doubt, I might think those jurors didn't do their job. But because the jurors all agreed and did it so quickly, there must have been something glaring that caused them to have reasonable doubt on all the charges.

:confused3 (bolded) Does that even make any sense?

Exactly!

I can PROMISE that I won't be watching interviews or paying ONE DIME toward anything that will produce income for CA, Defense attorneys or these senseless jurors.

Nope, he hasn't talked yet. He is willing to talk for dollars -- apparently that memo went to all the news media and he'll go with the highest bidder. Yuck.

Actually, it was just over 9 hours I think. The attorneys found out before lunch.

That's disgusting. Pure and simple. A little girl is dead in a trash bag, and this guy wants 5 figures. I doubt my faith in humanity more every day.:sad2:

Not to me. I would certainly hope they took their duty seriously, but the Alternate Juror who has talked already makes me wonder. He didn't seem to have listened properly to the Judge's instructions or understood them. Perhaps the real jury did.

I honestly don't think that you can go through, examine and discuss weeks of testimony and all the evidence presented properly in 11 hours. :confused3

Sloppy, rushed and incomplete job, IMO.

Can anything happen if it is found that the jury did not heed JBP's admonitions? Like if at least one of them (not an alternate) admits in an interview that they based their decision off of the opening statements?

I don't believe so. I sound like a broken record but it will go down in history like OJ as Jury nullification - a jury reaches a verdict contrary to the judge's instructions as to the law

That's because they didn't. They didn't take one piece of evidence back to the room.

Did that happen in the OJ trial? I am showing my age here, but I was 13 when that trial happened, and just entering a goth phase. So if it didn't have anything to do with the Cure or black lipstick, I didn't pay any attention.

The biggest problem with this case is they were trying for 1st degree murder. If they would have gone with a lesser charge like at least 2nd degree or criminally negligent homicide or even wreckless endangerment they would have had a better shot at a conviction. No evidence was presented that didn't have reasonable doubt. The coroner could not determine cause of death. CA offered a story of accidental death. Doubt was created. The jury cannot base their conviction on what they feel really happened. They have to base it on actual evidence and that was lacking. I absolutely believe that whole family was involved. Is there physical proof of it? No- and that is why they cannot convict her. They have to follow the law.

Yep -I was 30 and into the Cure and bagless vacuume cleaners :rotfl2:
The jurors in that case believed the police and prosecution tampered with evidence, had racist motivations and other reasons notwithstanding. This case was the mother of all jury nullification.

Just got back home. While driving around, I was listening to all the talking heads between multiple radio stations. The consensus seems to be (and the alternative juror confirmed) that their minds were made up with the opening statements. There was a seed of doubt that she could have drowned and the prosecution didn't prove otherwise. They were very stuck on the drowning, it seems.

That is all well and good. I may not like it and I don't believe they followed the orders that opening and closing statements are not evidence but it is what it is. What I will never understand is why they didn't convict her for child abuse/neglect. Even if Caylee did drown accidentally, isn't it neglect if you don't call 9-11 and try to get help? Isn't it neglect if you don't report that your father did it or helped cover it up? Isn't it neglect if you go out and party instead of reporting a death? Isn't it neglect if you desecrate human remains? How on this earth did 12 people not see any neglect?

That's because they didn't. They didn't take one piece of evidence back to the room.

 I missed that.

Did they even bother to ask for their notes back for deliberation? I noticed they left their notebooks on their chairs when they left but thought that was force of habit.

Perhaps the alternate juror was right when he said they all made their minds up during the opening statements.
