The didn't need to ask George those question he wasn't the one on trial

No, but it's their job to erase reasonable doubt, and the defense raised it from the opening arguments.

They failed to respond appropriately to the theory the defense threw out there, and that's what lost them the case.

UnfortunatLy--if the jury thought like Mr Alternate did...they convicted George. Without proof, of course.

Such a sad day. A sad sad day.

Cheney mason should be ashamed for what he said in the press conference.

The prosecution reminded folks in theirs that they had a legal requirement to make what they bad public. They never ran to the media. Ever!

Defense did though! Even their former attorneys (ahem! LKB!)

But I was on a cruise for the last 7 days, doesn't that count for something?:worship:

One of the regulars was in Italy for a week and another went into labor and had a baby during the trial. Both still managed to contribute. Your excuse counts for nada. :lmao:

(kidding on your excuse)

Good god - defensive much!? Get a grip! Where did I say that people weren't welcome on this post? You are totally reading into things. :sad2:

My point was that such outspoken people. who popped up now, would've had a lot to contribute to the other threads and it's too bad that they didn't. It's just interesting that they chose not to when we would've loved more opinions, especially from those who were so pro-defense team. I wish you all would've contributed as it would've been nice to have the input.

Shouldn't say that people are 'coming out of the woodworks", and 'interesting indeed'. That doesn't say 'welcome' to me.

At any rate, the PP was right. I lurked on the other threads, and any suggestion that Casey did anything other than outright murder her child was beaten down swiftly and forcefully.

:lmao:
Now you're just being dumb.

The jig is up - you're the type that likes attention and goes about getting it in strange ways.

I don't know about you, Mosoh, but I'm thinking it's Casey herself. Same smug attitude, and no form of rational argument will work. No sense wasting the keystrokes.

hi, know I new to this thread, I have been reading lately, been watching trail on TV..sick to my stomach about this. BUT just thought of something awful!

I was thinking how the heck will she live, not like i care, but then it dawned on me, how much do you want to make a bet that she will end up with a movie and book deals and making money off the death of sweet little CayLee!

This has to be stopped!! can you imagine?? oh the horror!!!:sad2:

It's been mentioned several times... she'll be paid for interviews, book deal, movie rights, photo licensing, etc etc.

She'll get rich off of this, and be better off than BEFORE she murdered Caylee.

Just an FYI- one of the HLN reporters was in the restaurant during the defense celebration/ champagne toasting- she was on her phone on TV (no cameras) talking to the defense team and asked Baez where Casey will go if she is free on Thursday, he wouldn't elaborate but said it WOULD NOT be back to her parents home and was kind of laughing at the suggestion... That celebration was totally classless, a child is dead and they are toasting:confused3

You keep saying that and only on the surface does it works. Yes they were the jury and she walks. But that does not take from the rest of society the facts and the truth as it was presented.

You defend them before knowing why they made their decision. You give them the benefit of the doubt, most of us don't. Do you think she is not guilty?

You can't convict someone of murder based on what you "think", it has to be proven. I feel Casey had something to do with this and her behavior was repulsive, but you can't send someone to jail for their life based on repulsive behavior or because you "think" she had something to do with it. The prosecution had to prove she did this and they failed. I watched the trial periodically throughout the last few weeks and honed in the last week. I truly felt that she was going to walk.

I think you are right.

I dont know how they could have addressed it. But it was the only lie the jury had to believe.

The only people that matter are the 12 jurors, not legal experts or TV personalities.....fact remains she was found not guilty by a jury due to the fact there was no evidence proving she did it.

You probably think the OJ jury did the right thing as well.

I think we all have to first remember little Caylee and remember that the jury didn't find her innocent, they just couldn't find her guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I don't agree with the verdict at all - in fact I was stunned, shocked and cried my heart out for little Caylee and the injustice of it all.

I was also shocked at the defense's little champagne celebration in plain view of the public. No consideration for little Caylee :sad2: I hope George leaves that house immediately, doesn't do something foolish and starts a new life away from that house. I pray for this family and hope justice will be served some day (if they do believe in God, then Casey will have to face final judgment one day).

People with a conscience will not contribute to her shennanigans.

Anyway, Casey is the type who will have that money spent before she even receives it. I see her piddling any/all money away in no time and ending up mooching from friends in a matter of years with people taking advantage of her at every turn.

Do you think Tony's going to go back to her? Do you think she's going to be able to go out and party? I think that there will be so much staring and pointing fingers and whatnot that, eventually, it will make her life horrible.

She can do what she wants to change her looks/name/etc. but we know how she likes to be the center of attention, so I don't think she'll be able to keep herself "hidden" for long.

Also, if she makes a lot of money and is no longer indigent, won't she have to pay attorney fees?

I don't think CM should be ashamed. As someone who followed this case for 3 years (on another forum, mind you), I believe the media is very much at fault for what happened today. Certainly he rubbed it in their face, but it was people like Nancy Grace who disqualified many potential jurors because of all of the discovery evidence they discussed and the "trying" of the case before the case was actually being tried.

Maybe the media deserved to have CM throw things in their face, because maybe they'll realize how much they influenced this case. And, the media does not stop with just the talking heads who were going on daily about this case, it goes to the people writing shows like CSI. It's shows like these that misrepresent the process, and put a tougher burden on the State to create the "Aha!" moment in order to convict.

Ok, but at least I am one your side. lol

Honestly, common sense is lost these days. People can't/don't think, critical thinking skills are lost. This verdict is proof positive of what is happening in this country--the dumbing down of society. The natural love between a mother and child--none here--she murdered her child, Caylee cramped her style. I am beyond disgusted with it all.

Although it pains me to admit it, your assessment is on the money. If the answer doesn't slap someone across the face, they either lack the motivation to put the pieces together to find the answer or worse yet, lack the ABILITY to do so.

:thumbsup2 I agree.

Someone please tell me that they're going to get Cindy on perjury charges now that there won't be any appeals.
