Casey Anthony Civil Trials Discussion

I wonder what NBC (or any news organization, for that matter) expects to get out of Casey Anthony? She will tell SOME story, but everyone knows it will be a load of crap, another work of fiction, yet another tall tale. It will in no way resemble the truth. It never does. Heck, even if by some miracle, hell froze over and pigs flew, and she managed to tell the God's honest truth, you'd never be able to believe it because of her past history of chronic lying.

So yeah, she will yak on and on about something, but it will just give her a platform for BS the country yet again while dancing (from a pole?) on the grave of her child. And in some way, she will benefit financially. Surely they know most Americans are repulsed by this idea and there will be consequences.

Yes, they will get viewers in the short term. But have they and their sponsors asked themselves what the long term consequences will be? Because I don't ever have to watch NBC again. Ever. I can count more than one boycott than I've been carrying on for double digits. I may be in the minority with my penchant for longevity, but I believe there will be hell to pay for any network that gives her money, even indirectly. Sponsors will be boycotted and the network may find it loses many previously loyal viewers for a very long time. All to get an interview with the likes of Casey Anthony?????

Penny wise and pound foolish.

I agree, she will get paid alot of money for the same story that she said all along. I hope the tax payers of florida dont have to pay for the appeals.

I saw a tabloid that said wedding bells for Casey. I was kidding saying they knew the diss people were ahead of them with where George and cindy were, so better to say casey was getting married.

LOL! I thought I know I am challeged when it comes to the facts of this case but I was thinking I had caught up with it.

BTW this thread was on the bottom of page 3! HOW"d that happen?

I wonder if she was lying when she and Baez said she was indigent as well. So will she say Baez made her lie?

AHH, NO! She will not say Baez made her lie she will say George did it and he was in cahoots with Zanida(sp)....they held her down in a park and told her she was NOT a good liar and that was why they were taking the ability to fabricate stories away from her and so she will through alternate means try to find out how to lie...until she is caught.:lmao:

Maybe Geraldo has another boat somewhere else...
That guy is at the end of his career (and he knows it) and would sell his soul to get the first Casey interview, and that would include helping to hide her. Besides, if she is actually on his boat, what is Geraldo going to say when confronted about it, "ok, you got me, she's on my boat"? Of course he would deny it.

BTW, I noticed you're from Xenia, my DW is from there too. It's a nice little town. :)

Who knows where she really is...we may never know :confused3

Don't find too many people that think its a nice town :) I like it though..

Looks like Casey is shooting for $1.5 million.

While I hope she doesn't get it, am I the only one that doesn't think she is going to get rich from this deal? My biggest fear once she was found not guilty was that she would cash in on this. Thankfully, she seems to be hated enough that the deals aren't pouring in. If this is the best she can do, she will have to pay taxes on it, then Jose will take at least half, then she will have to pay off her back taxes, court fees for all of her upcoming lawsuits, and possibly make payouts because of those lawsuits. Hopefully, that won't leave enough for her to live happily ever after.

Echoes my sentiments exactly! :thumbsup2

You have a good point. I'm sure she thinks a million and a half is a huge amount of money, but you're right, by the time everybody else gets through with taking their part of it, I suspect she's going to be one mad little monster.

Wow, started at $25 and is now almost $25,000. It really looks like her and gives you an unsettling feeling when you look at it. It actually has a look on the face that is remarkably similar to how she looked some days in court. <shudder>

Devoid of a soul?

Yes, it really captures her essence.

If she gets that 1.5M she can pay back everyone...that should be a demand!

That Casey mask is truly scary!

Not sure whether this has been posted yet. It is very long but about the best article I've seen so far on the case.

http://www.law.com/jsp/nlj/PubArtic...the_Casey_Anthony_trial&slreturn=1&hbxlogin=1

Just one paragraph (bolding mine):

"The Anthony trial was an intricate circumstantial evidence case, but it shouldn't have flummoxed a jury of even borderline intelligence. Why did these jurors so lack the courage of their convictions (literally) that they were not willing to fight for their convictions for even one full calendar day? It seems to me that the jurors collectively certainly did not carefully evaluate the evidence in the manner that this circumstantial evidence required — when such careful examination could have resulted in a guilty verdict. None of the reported comments of the several jurors who have communicated, in one form or another, has said anything that inspires confidence that they knew what they were talking about, understood the difference between inferences that could be drawn from evidence as opposed to mere speculation or properly understood what the prosecution was required to prove."

No kidding! I totally agree with the experienced attorney and law professor who wrote this article.
