Casey Anthony Civil Trials Discussion

NO! They have been trying to find the offender using alternate means ......but they know it was stupid.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I got some tweets about George & Cindy. I think this is just the beginning of a huge legal fight over who owns the rights to Caylee Marie Anthony.

Oh, please... The Anthonys will not profit from this foundation? They won't receive a salary as directors of this foundation? How about the fact that they've applied for trademarks on the name Caylee Anthony?

Sorry, not buying it. They could anonymously volunteer their services at long-standing verified foundations for children if they were so altruistic.

Oh, but that wouldn't keep them in the news, would it?

That makes sense to me. There were people selling t-shirts, mugs and underwear with Caylee's picture on it. I wouldn't want people profiting fro the death of my granddaughter either.

George, Cindy To Unveil Foundation Soon

Based on Cindy's behavior, I could never send money to anything that she was connected with. I am reminded of all the things she did to try to derail the investigation and how she perjured herself during the trial all the while trying to protect Casey, and I don't feel that she has had Caylee's interests at heart. Therefore, I can't see her as a legitimate person to do anything to honor Caylee. :confused3

This, I understand and would have done the same thing. I do think it was primarily an effort to try to control what was getting out there. I would have done the same.

You know had this been a couple of weeks ago I think I might have disagreed with you but now when I hear how Cindy and George let Equusearch take time from others who need them but had a lower profile and when I think of how she perjured herself on the stand I too would not give money to a foundation she runs.

Frankly I was so against people wanting her prosecuted for lying on the stand I had fights with them but now I am not feeling the LOVE. I have heard how they tried to put it all on Jesse Grund and he seems like a fairly decent person (although I bet someone has info have missed that might change my mind) I do not really like Cindy anymore. I know she was crying on the stand and I know she was devistated about the loss of Caylee I still feel there was something more there with her. She failed so many people by not having the guts to try and control her daughter and now everyone else pays the price. If she had let her mother have Casey arrested when she stole from the Grandfather's nursing home money none of this would have happened. It is not like this was the first time Casey had hurt others or stole or cheated etc.. Cyndi should have manned up and made sure there was some sort of intervention but she did NOT she just kept enabling.Everyone one says she is the one who wears the pants in the family. I guess she paid a high price but all the foundations in the world will not bring back Caylee OR fix the carnage her precious daughter has wrought.

Oh boy another foundation? Hmmm does anyone else here remember the one they already started, where the officers were George & Cindy Anthony, Lee, Lee's girlfriend Mallory and Mallory's mom Jody Parker? :rolleyes1

http://www.cayleemarieanthonyfoundation.net/index.html

I remember that they bought a glorified bass fishing boat for $30,000 and named it the SS Caylee Marie and were supposedly going to do search and rescues with it. Yeah right. I also remember reading this about their previous foundation:

"The Caylee Marie Anthony Foundation, Inc. used 80% of their charitable donations for ”administration expenses” in 2009, leaving only 20% to be used for the foundation program".

http://www.cayleedaily.com/2011/07/cindygeorge-anthony-take-up-to-80-of-foundation-donation-money/

My guess is that donations to that foundation must be way down, so a new one will be started. ;)

Believe me, my donation money will go elsewhere

Time will tell if the trademarking is only to avoid exploitation by others. Considering their history for selling photos, I can't help but believe they'll be offering t-shirts to "support their foundation". Hope I'm wrong.

I've yet to read anything derogatory about Jesse Grund or his family (other than from the Anthonys, of course). He was prepared to be a father to Caylee in spite of all the lies KC told him. She broke the engagement.

I have no use or sympathy for Cindy. After reading depos of her brother, her mother & the emails between her mother & aunt, it appears to me that CA has a history of "telling untruths" and she helped instill that quality in her daughter.

Good! As one might be able to tell from my previous posts there were a few players involved in this case that I was unaware of until I found out from posters on here so I was hoping I would not hve someone tell me different.

As I said I came late to the party so to speak because I did get involved in this thread until June 28th so I missed a lot that has happened. I did not know there was another Caylee foundation or that they bought a 30, 000 .oo boat to search the water for her. Are any of them certified divers? They would have been better off if they had tried to drain all the lakes in Fla with a teaspoon. I really am losing any respect for them.

Just clicked on the links about the foundation.......made me distrust the A's even more. So many people will give this year because it is so high profile. And the fact that they mention that some of the money might have gone to Casey's canteen fund sickens me. BTW how did the Anthony's get out of foreclosure last year? AND I know this is petty but I have never seen Cindy in the same outfit in all the days I have watched the trial. Just sayin'

I would've done the same thing too. They did it years ago, around the same time she was found. It's not like they just did it.

None of them have jobs so the money has to come from somewhere. If the first foundation was a scam this one is sure to be too. Shame on them. Although with everyone thinking George killed Caylee/molested Casey, maybe they won't get too much money.

apparently they didn't spend that much on her clothes and it was the defence team that bought them for here not her parents.

there were a few tops that she wore more then once. the pink tux one, some stripped one are 2 i remember seeing at least twice each.

actually she wore one top the last 2 days of her trial.

It's amazing that George & Cindy, who receive public assistance because they are too stressed out to work, are relaxed enough to oversee two foundations. I am impressed.

Apparently, any money they receive from books, interviews will be paid to the new foundation...not them directly...and will be tax free.

Also, I read on another message board (so I can't confirm) that it's common for non-profits to receive government grants and the Anthonys have already begun the process of applying.

They are really working the system :sad2:

Hey all. Haven't really been keeping up with the Casey mayhem as Im just about FCA's out!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi

Kurby, great to hear Nicole is moving along! Such a good news!

Curly, is you are reading, shame on you LOL! Keep reading along and hope to see you back soon!

I agree, it's really disheartening.

I agree. She did regain my sympathy during the trial (at the beginning). While I was upset at how she had tried to derail the investigation, it seemed for awhile like she was coming to terms with it and wanted justice for Caylee. Unfortunately, that didn't last very long, and she went back into "protect Casey at all cost" mode.

Their lawyer recently released a statement saying that Cindy and George are hoping to hear from Casey soon and that they hope she knows that they never wanted her to suffer the ultimate penalty (meaning death). The statement caused me to shake my head. Casey knows very well that her mother lied under oath for her. The statement means nothing.

The Grunds (both father and son) come across as decent people who got caught up in Casey's drama. I think they were victims as well.

Casey seemed to run the show in that house. I saw the woman who "babysat" Casey (the one who worked for Leonard Padillo) on a show, and she commented on how when Casy was bailed out of jail and came home, George started trying to ask questions, and Cindy told him that they had agreed that they weren't going to do that to Casey and sent him away for the weekend. Cindy made sure Casey wasn't accountable for anything (even lied for her after Casey lied about going to graduate high school). It was just a long string of lies, and Cindy enabled her instead of punishing her.

Interesting part of one of the links - A VERY troubling issue is the fact Cindy uses Caylee to manipulate situations. Cindy Anthony is using manipulation to raise money for the foundation declaring Caylee is deceased yet in an attempt to help Casey, she is claiming in court & in letters that Caylee is still alive.

It depends on how the situation will benefit Cindy as to whether Caylee is ‘alive’ or ‘dead’. The Caylee Foundation website lists Caylee as deceased. In court testimony and in letters to Casey in jail, Cindy is claiming Caylee is alive. Obviously no denial or mental issues can be claimed as these illustrations wipe all such claims away … These Cindy manipulations are clearly deceitful & planned out.

I hope you're wrong too, but I sure wouldn't bet against you.

NO I said CINDY not Casey. If they were in danger of losing their home as well as dire financial straights then where did CINDY get the money for new clothes. ETA Well possibly not NEW clothes but she certainly had a slew of clothes. Still I know that at least some of those dresses were from JOnes NY and some were from Kohls....yeah I need a life, but they were THIS YEAR'S STYLES.

Ohhhh. Too many c names in that family lol

Or maybe it "baby brain" on my part lol

Well if you do not pay your mortgage, you have money for clothes, right?

Who knows where she got the money.

As fir her disability, she could be making 60-70% of her original salary. Anyone know if that is taxable?

As for their foreclosure, it was resOlved. Not sure how.
