Casey Anthony Civil Trials Discussion

Well if you do not pay your mortgage, you have money for clothes, right?

Who knows where she got the money.

As fir her disability, she could be making 60-70% of her original salary. Anyone know if that is taxable?

As for their foreclosure, it was resOlved. Not sure how.

OKAY another stupid question on my part what is her disability. I am sitting here laugh because I seem to learn one new fact a day about this case. :rotfl:

BTW while we are talking about employment what did geogrge do for a living? WE know he could do whatever it was when he wanted to b/c when he was supposed to be working he was with Riverboat or what ever her name was. Tugho?

having Casey as a daughter seems like a good enough disability ;)

He was in law enforcement as a detective. Can't remember what he did when they moved to florida

YOU GUYS!! YOu are my rock...you are my fount of information. ONe of you must know. He was in FLA for a long time and he was only a policeman for 10 years which seems kind of off to me too. All the police I know are in it for the long haul.

From what I remember reading, his partner in OH was killed in the line of duty. Cindy made him quit the force because she felt it was too dangerous especially since they had a family. I don't know if any of this is true or just internet rumors.

Since moving to Orlando, he has pretty much worked security for multiple companies. I don't know if he isn't the greatest worker or the companies have had financial problems but he seems to move from job to job quite frequently.

OKAY that is more like it!:worship: I knew one of you would know.

I am not going to knock her....

What I will say is, if she suffers from a psychological or psychiatric issue as a result of having to deal with the grief from the death of Caylee, then she could be disabled. Without a diagnosis, I could not weigh an opinion.

She could suffer from any host of things and it is between her doctors, her and the insurance company that pays out her LTD.

Could she be "milking it"--i.e. using her grief to her advantage? I don't really know. It certainly is possible.

But a disability isn't always something physical.

Do we have documentation that she is on SS disability? I would be suprised that she got it so quickly and so easily. My mother suffers from a physical disability. She did get it on the first application and she was completely suprised.

But I find it odd that her attorney said something like "they can't get a normal job" after the trial. Being famous is NOT a disability and I only hope that whomever is paying out her claim is paying extra special attention to their livelihood from here on out.

IIRC (from reading thousands of pages of depos) George's father had a used car/van conversion dealership in OH. Evidently they didn't get along, but Cindy talked him into going into partnership with the understanding (or wishful thinking?) George would take it over when dad retired. There was some kind of blow-up (Cindy's brother & mother made reference to George throwing his dad through a plate glass window) :confused3 and George's dad sold the dealership & retired. George then started his own used car lot, went bankrupt within 2 years and lost their home. At this point they moved to FL.

Condensed from CA, GA, Rick Plesea, Shirley Plesea interviews, RP's emails to CA & SP, and Shirley's emails to her sister, all available in public records. VERY interesting reading & insight into the Anthony family.

We recently went there for the first time. It was a nice experience but I would not go back. Not worth the price and it just wasn't THAT good to me. It was good but not as good as the price.

That's right! I remember reading that too. Am I right that his partner in OH died? I know I read that but I don't know if it was the truth.

Ok guys help me here. When did they move from Ohio to Florida? Look at this and see, it says they got a $86,300 mortgage in 1998, they were in Florida by 2002 because Cindy worked for Gentiva and they fulfilled their mortgage in June 2005. Their foreclosure in 2009 was for $115,000. Did they live in a different house at first? I'm confused...

I think the Hopespring house is their first and only home in Florida.

From a 2010 Orlando Sentinal article about the foreclosure:

Records show that the Anthonys bought the house in 1989 for $90,900. They refinanced the four-bedroom
home in 2005 and agreed to pay $121,180. Court documents show that the lender claims the couple owes about $121,000.

Classic example of house as piggy bank which explains the larger loan amount.
Very common in Florida. We were guilty to a certain extent. Home values sky rocketed and then fell.

Who is this loser on the local news at the moment? Someone named Jake Schalmo of Schalmo Productions is offering Casey $5 million and will not require any lie detector. He is from OH and claims he has the money ready and waiting to hand over to Casey. He says he has gotten a bunch of hate mail but he doesn't care. Looking for his 15 minutes of fame I imagine. I will be beyond ticked of she walks away with $5 million. If she thinks people hate her now, wait until she makes that much money off this.

I could see this as being something Casey would seriously look at for two reasons:

1) $5 million no strings attached

2) Fresh meat. This guy looks like Casey's type.

It's fake. The people on web sleuths have totally nailed this guy, there is no way it is real.

I hope the Webslueths site is right. I went and read over there for a bit and the only thing I saw that says he isn't legit is that the production company isn't listed on IMBD.
