Carthay Circle or Napa Rose?

I did reach out to Disney but never heard anything back. I didn't really expect to as I'd left feedback when I went with a party of 6 and again, rude service and in that instance some poor planning as some of our food was delivered lukewarm and others were the wrong item. We are friendly and willing to pay and tip well, but for that I expect good service. At this last Christmas season, we (my sister and I) were left just sitting and waiting for our final course for a very, very, very long time. We thought maybe something had happened to our server, so we finally flagged down another server and he went to see what was going on. She eventually came back and said she'd been on her break but...I've NEVER been left without service like that and she was complaining the whole time she finally returned about personal health issues. When we finally got our dessert, it was nothing special at all and we wished we had skipped it.

On the flip side, we went to Carthay for dinner the night before and the service was so incredible that we asked our 2 servers to pose for a picture with us. The meal was perfect, with several smallish sized portions of various menu items. The ladies who waited on us were FABULOUS. That has been my experience at Carthay restaurant every time but one, which was year before last. There was something wrong with the kitchen and the heating/cooling system. It was FRIGID in the restaurant. Service was backed up and incredibly slow because they were unable to prepare the things on the menu. We ordered a glass of wine and we got it about 45 min later! We were so freezing cold but our waitress assured us our meal was coming. It wasn't. I had a temp app on my phone and the inside of the restaurant was 47 degrees--way, way too cold for me and they couldn't seem to get the AC to turn off. The people around and including us were covering themselves in the cloth napkins for a little warmth. I didn't reach out to Disney but I should have. We were comped with a really bad lava cake that was cold and not tasty at all. I think they should have refunded a good portion of everyone's bill. It wasn't really their fault, but it certainly wasn't ours and I don't think they should have charged full price. I attached a picture of the guy next to us, trying to stay warm. I also added a pic of my sister and me at Napa Rose a very long time ago when I used to love it. We did a wine pairing dinner.
Love the pics! I shouldn't have giggled at the coat one  ummm that meal should have been comped TBH a lava cake isn't enough... maybe a lava cake and a bottle of wine to help you keep warm! But really DL is different it's not like you can just leave and go somewhere else(yea you can but really you can't) -- and you make reservations usually 60 days in advance. The temp alone and not being able to serve a menu... Yes, is out of your their control but that doesn't mean you charge for it. Even more so when you are Disneyland because you could/should of just canceled reservations instead of taking people $$$.

NP whole experience is just so out of pocket that every experience just seemed to get worse. I am not sure I could have been so calm(and I am have the ability to be remain calm to the point it isn't good at times) in that situation. I have no problem paying(and even over paying at times LOL) for a good experience & tip very well. But really they shouldn't have received a penny and you should have been comped for your wasted time if anything with some room service credits. The sad thing is if it wasn't DL & NP you would of most likely demanded to speak to a manger & not paid for that meal. I wish I could find the other review but there was a part where they were almost felt bad leaving it because it was 'so hard to get a reservation & they should be lucky to just be there' which really irked me. I don't expect to be treated like that at Dennys and definitely not at a place that you can easily spend $300+ for 2 people.

You make excellent points, and I wish we had stayed to speak with someone in charge, but we were told that he was so busy that it wasn't possible. I dropped the ball and never fully followed through on it. It was not the dinner we were expecting, but to be honest it has made for a good story!!

We had something similar happen, except that our waitress wasn't on break. We watched (and heard) as she gabbed and gabbed with the table next to us. They were obviously some sort of acquaintance. She was so into gossiping with her friends that she didn't check on any of her tables. The server brought us our food and the order was wrong. The server asked the waitress who was initially confused about what we had ordered. When we reminded her, she blamed the error on the chef. Total time from being seated to paying our bill was well over 3 hours!

What in the world!! I could see if it was 3hrs(Ive heard it can be on the longer side) and you actually had gotten the correct food and also had a great experience! Having to sit and being actively ignored and then being told to pretty much kick rocks when you get the wrong food isn't OK I was a server when I was really young and that is like the #1 thing you don't do is just blame the Chef -- even if it was their mistake.
What is NP?!
I meant NR I didn't even realize I put the NP lol

So this happened to me once at Club 33. For dessert I ordered beignets, which as you might expect were really fancy dough balls dipped in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Except mine tasted awful; they weren't sweet and seemed like they had been dipped in salt instead of sugar. No one else at my table believed me until they tried a bite of their own. Even the server, who claimed the beignets were their most popular dessert, didn't believe me until I forced him to take a bite of the one untouched one. His faced screwed into exactly the kind of grimace you would expect when expecting to bite into something sweet and instead finding it unbearably salty. He took them back and brought me another order which were prepared properly, but the damage was done and I wasn't really in the mood for dessert at that point. But, just like me telling it here, it has become a really good story to tell!

WOW!! That's something you wouldn't expect, especially at Club 33!! EWWWW, LOL!! I think the worst part is not that the beignets were bad, which is certainly bad, but that you weren't believed. How dare they?! We used to have the most wonderful waitress there but I've not seen her in some time. I miss her. She knew how much I loved dessert and she used to pack me a box of desserts to take with me!! They also used to have these cookies I loved and she would pack a whole box of them for me as well. But the main thing was she wasn't trying to be the regal server, she was just herself and a lot of fun.
