How exciting about the interview tomorrow. The radiothon at the mall sounds fun - have a great time. Hope they are able to get his wish through faster.

I have MIA for a few days we had the nasty flu bug at our house. Carter came down with it early Thur morning and was really sick for 24 hours. He pretty much just slept. Then early Friday morning hubby, Austyn, and I all started in. My hubby passed out twice in the bathroom and the first time hit his head, shoulder, and bite his lip landing on the floor. The second time I caught him while he had a little passing out seizure. After that I called 911 knowing I wouldn't beable to get him in the van myself. This was all at 2am! We woke the boys up and on the way to the hospital following the ambulance Austyn stated getting sick. So Bryan was in one ER room and Austyn in the other. Needless to say it was fun!!! After sleeping, vomitting, and just being plain missible on Saturday we are all starting to feel half human again today!

I am so sorry that you were all so very sick. So scary about DH. Glad you are starting to feel better. Praying for a complete recovery.

Today was the Carousel for Cares radiothon in Lincoln. The dj rides on the carousel for 12 hrs and all wish kids can ride as much as they want. Of course the boys LOVED this They raised $14,000 just today! Last week at the radiothon in Omaha they raised $45,800 and granted 6 wishes! WOW everyone is so generous. I did a taped interview last week and today they pulled me up to the mike and did a live interview. It was fun and I am so happy to be able to help MAW anyway we can. The regional director really wanted to grant Carter's wish on air, but still needing some paperwork I had to take the boys to get passports today so that should be the last thing we need to get booked. One of the boys that goes to school with Austyn just got back from his MAW, he went on a Disney cruise as well. He spent a week on the Fantasy and that is the ship Carter wants so fingers crossed! Everyone at MAW was so wonderful giving hugs and were so excited to meet us they are truely a magical bunch!

Sounds fun, and so wonderful they raised so much. Sorry they couldn't grant his wish yet, hoping it happens very soon and that it's the Fantasy.

Busy week! Our wish granter brought out or MAW t-shirts, we got awesome colors. Bright yellow, bright orange, red and teal blue!! We applied for passports and they are still planning on April for his cruise. Official approval should come this week or next!

Love the pictures! Like Carter's Wish Kid shirts too. Yay for the MAW shirts, didn't realize that they came in colors besides white & blue. I was just reading on the Cruise forum that people have been pleasantly surprised by how quickly their passports have been arriving. Hope you get official wish approval soon.

We had a wonderful Christmas and the boys were spoiled, of course! Just trying to wind down 2012 and hoping 2013 is our year! Usually we are dealing with Carter's medical issues and currently my hubby is having some issues we are trying to figure out. Just hope it isn't as serous as they think I met with our MAW regional director yesterday to give her the boys passports. Since it is around the holidays it will still be a couple of weeks before we get dates. Still planning on April, we will be doing a 5 day 4 night cruise on the Dream. A little disappointed our chapter won't let us add on days at Disney. Just trying to feel greatful and make the best of it! We feel so privledged to receive a MAW cruise. Happy 2013 everyone!

So glad you had a wonderful Christmas. Sorry about DH's issues - praying it's figured out, and not serious. I've been having issues myself, so we know how it complicates everything. So sorry you didn't get the itinerary you were hoping for, and can't add on wdw. Hope you get dates soon.

Thanks Christi! Hugs to you also and I hope your medical issues resolve. Maybe we should have planned our trips for the same time!

Thanks All of my tests came back normal - it's a relief that there's nothing seriously wrong, but frustrating that there's explanation for my issues.

It would be fun to go at the same time. She really wants to go in May though, so much that she said she'd wait a whole year if it couldn't be done this year.
