Carseats and taxis in Floridas

We are planning on doing a few of the kids activites at the GF, but staying at AKL. We could take the bus to TTC and then Monorail over to GF. However, sometimes, we are running late, and it would seem quicker to take a taxi. My question is, my kids are in booster seats, because of "Safety" reasons not by law (they are both over 40 lbs. and 4 years of age). Can I just buckle the kids in regular seatbelts in Florida in the taxis? Thanks. We hestitated doing this last year from GF to WL after the Wonderland Tea Party and took a very long 1 1/2 hour bus ride back to the WL using Disney Transportation. Ugh!!
