carseat needed on mears shuttle???

do I need to have my toddler in a car seat on the Mears shuttle? I know you need to have them in one in the town car.

Actually, taxis, shuttles and town cars are exempt for the car seats. So, no, you don't need to have one for Mears. This, btw, is something I am not comfortable with. I think kids should be in a car seat or restraint any time they are in any vehicle that moves.

I feel the same- not very comfortable with that. I've heard of a portable car seat- maybe I should go that route.
any thoughts???

My only thought is , are portables safe? It has been years since I have been faced with this, so, I am a bit out of the loop.
