Cars character appearances?

Does anyone know if any of the "Cars" make character appearances? The costuming would probably much more difficult than other characters, so understand if not. I am travelling with a 4 yr old (his first time to Disney!) who might just well be obsessed with Cars : )

There is a spot at DHS where you can take pictures with Lightning McQueen and Mater. It is back by Muppet 3-d and Mama Melroses. They don't talk (or at least they didn't when we were there), but their eyes move around.

They sure do- at Disney Studios- my kiddos loved it!
