I'd like to make up a gift basket for dh when we arrive at the Poly (we spend one night at PO first) I know I cna mail a package to the concierge office (and I'm doing that with some Xmas decorations), but with liquor, that would be hard.

I'd like to carry on the makings of a gift basket, like a bottle or two of champagne, nice crackers, etc., and assemble it when we arrive. We'll check into the Poly early, and I figure I can leave it with them, to put in our room later (we're just checking in to get passes and dining plan cards)

How much can I carry on? (This isn't something I normally do!! :earsboy: )

Thanks

Julia

Unless you are staying concierge level, they will not want to leave the basket in your room for you while you are out. They sinply do'nt ahve the staffing levels to take care of requests like this.

You can order a basket from the WDW florist, that might work for you.

You can carryon as much as will fit in a "legal" carryon. Remember it can get heavy lugging bottles around the airport.

We are staying concierge.

I didn't see any gift baskets with champagne or wine.

So, there isn't a limit of how much I can carry on?

Julia

If you can jam it into your carryon bag (which has to meet the airlines criteria for size) you can carry it on.

Call the WDW florist, they can customize for you, and you might also want to get with the concierge to see what they can do.

I will call them, I just didn't want all th extra's that seem to come with a basket......just the champagne, the glasses, and maybe snack or so. I also wanted to put in Disney dollars (simple)

Thanks for the info

Then you really do'nt want a basket. I'd order the DD's and carry those in your pocketbook, and have the concierge arrange for a bottle of champagne and some tuxedo strawberries or something along those lines to be delivered to your room your first night. They do it very nicely with champagne glasses and streamers.

Oh, that's a great idea....I wasn't looking forward to carrying on the champagne (and wine seemed kind of silly, since they'll serve that in the lounge).

Between the dining plan and concierge offerings, we really don't need more snacky foods.....I just want the champagne!! (and of course, the DD's for dh)

Thanks
