We are flying Midwest in a week. We purchased new 21 inch carryons. Inside there was another smaller bag that is actually smaller than the backpack I usually take as a purse. Will I have any problems if DH and I each have one of these and our 21 inch carryons? We carry a lot of electronics, cameras, portable dvd players, etc. and after reading about the latest luggage found in dumpsters after being ransacked(don't know which airline) I'd rather carry this stuff on us. BTW, can you still take dvd player in your carryon?:confused3

From the Midwest site........

Each passenger is allowed one item to be carried onboard the aircraft, provided it can be stowed beneath the seat or in an overhead compartment. (21 x 9 1/2 x 14)

Midwest Airlines may allow any of the following pieces in addition to the one-piece limitation, provided there is ample storage space:

• One standard hard or soft shell briefcase(not larger than 6"W x 15"H x 18"L)
• One handbag (pocketbook or purse)
• One umbrella
• One overcoat or wrap
• A reasonable amount of reading material
• One camera
• One FAA approved car seat (when ticket for infant has been purchased)
• One infant bag
• Crutches/canes/braces or other assistive devices
• Fragile items or items of extraordinary value

DVD player can be carried on.

Be prepared if you are flying out of a regional airport (which Midwest does a lot) Your 21 inch will be too big for the first leg or smaller plane. You will have to gate check it and then on the bigger plane be able to take it with you, so pack accordingly.
