Carry on lanyards and pins?

Forgive me - I know this has been asked before, but I want to make sure I'm okay with this - Is it still OK to go through security with your lanyards and pins? Has anyone had any trouble with that? I just would hate to pack them in a suitcase and have the suitcase get lost. What have you all done with your pins to get them to Disney?

I pack them in my carryon. No problems

Whatever you do, don't pack them in your luggage. I've read several threads here on the Dis where people have had them ripped off. I guess they can see them when they x-ray. It really stinks.
