Carry on bag

Ok...I just about finished packing, but, was on the fence about a few items - does Vaseline have to go into a zip lock and what about face cream and foundation cream (I know it is a cream substance not a liquid, but, wasn't sure how the airport security might see it ), also, do all meds have to stay in their original container or can I put them into a pill box?

Creams are considered "gels" which are subject to the liquid rule of being in original containers of 3 ounces or less, all of which containers must fit in the Zip Loc (tm) bag.

Suggest keeping the quantity of pills you will need in the original containers you bring with you will leaving the surplus at home in different containers. This is where saving some old containers of each kind after getting refills makes sense. Overall TSA has not been fussy about those Sun-Mon-Tue etc. pill boxes.

Same thing with Vaseline. Just put it in your checked bag and you don't ahve to declare it or do anything special.

Yes, all three items would need to be 3oz or less and in a quart-sized bag. Yes, you can put pills in a pill box rather than their original containers, although I wouldn't recommend this for international travel.

Thanks everyone...I loaded all my stuff into my carry-on bag. This is what I have so far in my carry-on...my makeup (all creams, etc...in ziplock), makeup brushes all in a makeup storage case, eyebrow tweezers, all our paperwork, wallet w/credit cards, brush/comb, flat iron & meds - would all of this be acceptable?
I do have one other ? about the quart size ziplock - is there any regulations on how many items can go into the bag?

Just out of interest why do you need all your makeup and creams etc in your carry on? Would it not be simplier to put it in your checked baggage and then your trip through security would be nice and easy. Other than that I don't know if they have relaxed the rules on tweezers but I always put them into checked baggage as sometimes they pick you up on those.

I take 16 different pills a day and I am NOT bringing 16 prescription bottles that is not what TSA wants either I am sure.

I should have clarified, my makeup is a cream. I just don't want to chance my makeup getting lost. I will pack the tweezers into the checked bags.
I also only have two Rx's I'm packing (there again should of clarified) all the non Rx's will be packed into our checked bags.
Still wondering if there are any exceptions to how many items can fit into a ziplock I think I have 6 small items (makeup, contacts, etc...)

You can place as many items in containers up to three ounces each in the one-quart bag as will fit with the bag closing firmly.

Not sure about the TSA rules on tweezers, but mine always are carried on with me. They are part of a travel mirror. No problems to date!
