Carry on and luggage items

I am traveling April 20-28 and I am in need of some info. We will be flying US Airways and just wanted to see if anyone had any problem with sunscreen in your luggage.
I get burned easy and have found that the only stuff that works on me is the Coppertone Sport Continuous Spray Sunscreen which if you don't know comes in a 6 oz. aerosole can. What should I do to get these down there on our plane?
Carry-on or Checked baggage?

Checked yes, carry-on no. Any liquids or aerosols in a carry-on bag must be 3 ounces or less. There is no restriction on the size for checked luggage.
