DSIL is a Mountain Dew fanatic, I swear the boy can go through a case or more a day. He knows that WDW only has coke products (found that out when he went in April) When he got to Sea World a few days later and realized they had Mountain Dew DD said he practically jumped over counter to grab one :teeth: When we go in Sept. I thought I would put maybe 3 or 4 in my tote bag for him. Will they let me do this

We've always carried drinks and snacks into the parks. Either carried in my fanny pack or put in a locker. You could put cold pop in with a frozen drink box to keep it cold for awhile.

Thanks for the quick replies, sure glad to hear this, he will be very happy when I tell him. :D

Last month we saw a family with a cooler on wheels and it was bulging it was so packed. They reached in and got everyone in their party cold drink boxes and snacks while waiting in line for mermaid at mgm.

We always take our own ice water in insulated bottles and have never had a problem.

OK, that clinches it...I am the worlds laziest person. I never could make myself drag all that stuff with me just for a day outing. If I didn't want to pay for lunch in the park (which I will grant is way expensive) then I would get my hand stamped and go off site or to the hotel and have something.

I admire those that can bring that much stuff with them but it has always been way too much hastle for me.

A funny, if you where there, story involves some neighbors of mine that went to WDW and brought PB&J sandwiches for lunch. Their children, now grown up, will still talk about the humiliating days at Disney eating "nasty old sandwiches" when everyone else was eating the "cool" snack bar type food. Remember they will eventually be the people that choose your nursing home.

goofyermost. that is SO TRUE, when our children were young my mother and I took them to The Lost Colony an outdoor drama in Manteo N.C., anyway my mother and I had grilled out hotdogs and we put them in a paper sack and took them with us. At intermission when most everyone went to the snack bar for their refreshments Mama pulled out the paper sack and handed each of us our hotdogs they were SOOOOOO good, but my children were SOOOOOOOOOOO embarressed :o They are grown now with children of their own, but they STILL talk about that night

My goodness. I would have loved to have been a kid eating a PB&J at Disney World, and I hate PB&J. I never got to WDW until my honeymoon!

My DH hates water, hates Coke and will only drink Pepsi. We bought him a 1-qt bottle to put his Pepsi in. I already have a half-gallon water bottle for the kids and I.

The thing about buying drinks is they won't let you on the rides with them. And they only sell pretty big ones. So DH ends up buying a drink, then we get in line so he has to ditch it. I hope this bottle solves this problem.

We always take drinks into the park. We have a couple of the soft sided coolers, which are not as heavy to carry around. It sure beats $2.50 a shot, plus you'll have all the caffeine from the Mountain Dew to keep you going!

I know what you mean, my first visit was at age 34. I was married with two children. To show you how much different things are now, we were together a few days ago, kind of remembering the old days (they are 28 and 30 now) and they commented on how I never took them anyplace. When I reminded them that we went to WDW on three different occasions they just said...Oh, we forgot about that but we only went there because you wanted to go.

They, of course, hated it. Just kidding! One of them asked for and got a trip to WDW for her honeymoon as a wedding gift from me. I'd say they like it, wouldn't you? And I didn't make them eat PB&J sandwiches.
