Carrie Fisher IS coming to Orlando

I heard that Carrie Fisher actually was at Star Wars Weekends when it first started (Edit: just checked and saw she was there in 2000). One thing that I also heard was that a certain Star Wars fanatic might've scared her from coming back. I know for sure that the woman in question is absolutely obsessed with Star Wars; and Luke Skywalker in particular. She even changed her name to reflect that passion. It's now like 'Linda (SW something) (SW something) (SW something) Skywalker'. SERIOUSLY!!!!!

But to be fair, besides Mark and Harrison, Disney has done a great job getting other notable character.... Chewy, R2-D2, C-3PO, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Darth Maul, Younk Anakin, the producer of all the newer Star Wars films, etc.

I'm a big fan. I've read all of her books, including Wishful Drinking, the book on which the Broadway show was based.

When Pete mentioned her on the podcast, I thought of this book and the Broadway show. Interesting book even if you know nothing about the Star Wars movies.

I saw her on Charlie Rose. She was a terrific interview.

My favorite quote from her was something along the lines of "Whenever I look in the mirror now, I have to pay George Lucas a royalty."

Wishful Drinking is hilarious, even if you're not a SW fan. I love that she can laugh at herself and everyone else.
