Carrie Fisher IS coming to Orlando

Dave....Can you ask Carrie Fisher how they made her hair look like headphones? :lmao:

Would you believe I actually owned the vinyl! :scared1:
OK, this is even scarier. Meco, (aka, Domenico Monardo), who (from wikipedia) is best known for his 1977 disco (Space Disco) version of the Star Wars theme from his album Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk; both the single and album were certified platinum in the U.S.,
is actually the cousin of one of my best friends who was the best man in my wedding. And, no, we didn't have the Space Disco version of Star Wars playing at our wedding...

Dave, there's no guaranty that she will actually be wearing "the" bikini ... just a warning ;)
Probably a good thing...

Have you seen Carrie Fisher lately?

Dont get me wrong....I LOVE HER....but she describes herself as "looking like Elton John".
I agree with Kevin. I've seen her on TCM hosting with Robert Osborne. I love her too, but think the bikini days are behind her.

And she's not exactly flipping burgers. She did just have an autobiographical show on Broadway. Didn't see it, though.

I wasnt dissing Carrie.

I'm a big fan. I've read all of her books, including Wishful Drinking, the book on which the Broadway show was based.

One of my all time favorite movies is her "Postcards From the Edge".

I realize Disney did score Billy Dee Williams this year, and I'm not sure if any big names have been to SWW in the past, before '08. I would think that each year that the Disney name would be able to get one of the headliners to show for at least one Weekend!:confused3 Sorry always have to vent about this subject.;)

I know this is pure speculation, but I think the answer has to be that Disney won't get her - not that they can't get her. I think Disney can get whomever they want, if they are willing to pay for it. And there must be someone up there who has decided it is not worth it to them to bring someone like Carrie Fisher in. They probably figure they are getting enough people to attend with the guests they are bringing in - so why pay more money for Carrie Fisher?

I always wondered why they couldn't score Harrison Ford for SWW; especially since they have another attraction based on the Indiana Jones franchise. You're probably right though...not worth it for a weekend appearance.

Also pure speculation, but the crowds are insane for Wicket the Ewok! Can you imagine the crowds Disney would have to manage if Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill showed up? Pandemonium!

I totally agree with your statement. Which also addresses my point, Disney doesn't "need" to get Carrie Fisher. They're already getting huge crowds without them. So, from a business point of view, what's their incentive to spend more money?

I loved her episode of 30 Rock. She's a great comedienne, not afraid to poke fun at herself.
