WIFE RECENTLY CHANGED RESORTS FROM POR TO CARRIBEAN JUST WANTING TO KNOW HOW FAMILY ORIENTED THE CARRIBEAN IS

I don't know what your abbreviations stand for.

CBR is a great family resort. There are quite a few quiet pools, the main pool is fun and right next to the food court, there are sandy beaches with playgrounds and hammocks. The game room is also fun for the kids.

Sorry,but I was not happy with CBR when I went a few years ago. I had stayed at the WL, POly and Coronado in the past,so maybe I was a little spoiled. The CBR seemed a little dated and the I really didn't like the food court. The Coronado was so much better.
I have never been to the POR so I can't compare. Just one point of view though and I see that many people do like it.

you will not be dissapointed!
Most of the rooms have been slightly updated in the past...and the food court is newly renovated...though I haven't experienced it personally...it seems fantastic!

The set up compared to POR is rather nicer....each section is broken up into villages...and each village had there own "quiet pool" and bus stop....not only that....but there own beach/playground/ hammocks....I also found it easier to get around than POR!
Though some buildings allow for a "long" walk to the food court...any room location is fantastic! The rooms have identical theming...and the curtain that seperates the bathroom from the "main" area is a huge plus!!
The Main pool is smaller compared to that of POR....but since its located right next to the main building (unlike POR) getting refils is easy...also in that area is the main Marina....from there you can rent boats...also form that area...you can see some of the fireworks from Illuminations....

The difference between the resorts is rather small....POR offers the boat to DTD....which can be convient...but sometimes longer...and they offer fishing...CBR offers beaches and hammocks...

It is very much a family resort!!

I, too , do not understand your poll abbreviations, but I would say that CBR is a wonderful resort and it is good for families or couples without children. It has been renovated and I stayed there two years in a row because it was so beautiful. Here is a link to my photos.

We stayed there last year with out 5yo DS and we LOVED it. The mornings were so relaxing walking over to get breakfast. I don't think it was dated at all. We will definetly stay there again !

don't ask me what the abbreviations are i'm kinda computer illiterate but i have other questions. 1)what is they transportation like from the caribbean , 2) are boats available to take to any of the parks and 3) can u see any of the fireworks from epcot as the caribbean appears to be close to epcot

Buses are the only transportation offered at CBR. If you're staying on the parking lot side at Jamaica or Aruba you can see the Epcot fireworks. These are also my two favorite places to stay. The walk to OPR is an easy one across the bridge. I have some pictures of a room in Aruba at CBR at Jo's Disney Den

I think it's very family oriented - after all it's Disney. Our first trip about 9 years ago was POR and we loved it. We liked the CBR okay but some things I didn't like. The smaller pools weren't so nice but that was about 5 years ago. The larger themed pool is really fun for kids. The grounds are nice but very spread out. I really think people get their favorites and their opinions reflect that. If it's Disney, I think it's fun.

You can see the Illuminations fireworks very well from the beach at Martinique. You can also hear the music.

I vote HTLM - I love CBR. Went there for the first time in 2002 and it is my new favorite resort. It is very family oriented
