What is the difference between standard rooms and preferred rooms at this resort? Is the fact that we may be renting a car for our trip make a difference between which room to book. For example, is the preferred rooms closer to the bus stops? If we are renting a car, maybe this wouldn't be important then. The extra cost for the preferred room and the cost for a rental car is about the same. If you had to pick one or the other, which would you suggest doing?

Well that depends...preferred rooms are closer to the food court, buses and pools.

Is parking the same for preferred and standard - basically to both have adequate parking lots and are they close to the rooms?

I have a preferred room booked, mostly to be close to the food court.

No, when we were there they didn't anyway. Remember it's like a big circle at CBR, when we were picked up first then on the way back we'd be dropped off last, it's a two edge sword lol.

We just got back from four nights at CBR and had a preferred room in Martinique - it was closer to the pool and food court and our bus was one of the first picked up (I think technically Barbados is first but second isn't too bad) - the good is that you get a seat and you get dropped off quickly upon returning but when leaving it can take 10 minutes to get out of the resort since you pick up at several other stops before departing. One of the nice things about CBR though is that it is pretty centrally located - it doesn't take too long to get to any one park or DD once you're out of the gate.

All parking was fairly open and convenient to the rooms. No worries there!
