Carriage Rides

Is Fort Wilderness really the only place that does the Carriage rides ? I wanted to surprise my mom and dad with one when we went. I had read they were at Wilderness Lodge , Fort Wilderness, and also Port Orleans. When I just called to make a reservation the CM said they only have them at FW ....

They had them at POR when I was there in November.

They have them at PORiverside. They are very nice. Call back and try again. Some CMs just don't have enough training. Try to get one that leaves at dusk. Very romantic.

PS - I think they have the "sleigh rides" at Christmas coming out of the WL, but not regular carridge rides

We did the sleigh ride from Wilderness Lodge this past December and LOVED it!!! My DD had some hot chocolate (that we purchased from inside the lobby) and it was rather chilly outside that night! While we were out "riding", we did get to see some deer!!

It was a really nice time for us!

We have a PS for the POR carriage ride in July. Do they do the sleigh rides from WL in January. We'll be back in January for DH to run the marathon and I really want to stay at WL - the sleigh ride sounds great!

My husb and I took the carriage ride at PO in Feb. It took us through Riverside and the French Quarter. We really enjoyed it. The grounds at PO are really lovely....the landscaping, flowers, magnolia trees...It was neat going over the little bridges and along the water. Even though I don't know your parents, I'd highly recommend this carriage ride for them or anyone.
