Carowinds- Charlotte, NC

Hi,
Does anyone know if there are any discount tickets to Carowinds? I am taking my Girl Scout troop there this summer. The group rate on their website is only a couple dollars cheaper than regular price. Do they have anything where if you go after 3pm the next day is free?
Any opinions on this park?

I live about 2 miles from this park. While it is a good park it is not WDW. New owners bought the park last spring (same co that own Geauga (sp?) Lake in OH) and they have been sprucing it up this winter getting ready for opening which was last weekend.

In the past there have been discount on Coke cans- like $5 or so off when you bring an empty marked can. Not sure if they are doing that again this year.

When is your group planning to come and can I ask where you are coming from?

Thanks! We are going in July and are from Knoxville, TN.
We are staying in the cabins in their campground. They looked really nice on their website. The $5off on coke cans is better than $2 off group rate.. every little bit helps! Especially since we only make .50 cents per box of cookies!

If they do that again this year I will post back and let you know. If they do I can save up some for you. How many will be in your group?

By July the waterpark will be open. They are supposed to have some new things in the water park this year. Park admission gets you into both the waterpark and regular park.

Wendy's will sometimes offer cheaper coupons, although maybe not so much during the summer. I've also seen the credit unions offer reduced tickets.

We've had season passes for a while, just not this year. In the past, if you had a season pass, it gave you the right to purchase some regular tickets at $10 off. The season pass is usually less than 2 days admission cost, so it might be worthwhile to have one person buy a season pass. I'll have to see what the deal was when I get home. Also, this may have changed with the new company purchasing. Edited to add: I just checked the website and it doesn't appear they are offering this anymore. They do have a 2 day admission that is somewhat reduced.
