I had been told by a CM when I was there last June that COP was going to close late that year and at the same time they were going to close the AAA Hospitality area. Nobody at my AAA Branch was aware of that closing when I told them. They did say something about it could be moving up to the front of Main Street, though.
We went on the Carousel of Progress last Friday!! It opened a bit later in the morning, and there were no lines whatsoever as I don't think anyone knew it was open.
Well, it's always *been* there, but it doesn't always operate. Maybe you were there when it was under rehab? Me were there this past Sunday.. and in December we rode it but it kept breaking down. We were stuck in the "Fabulous Fourties" for 20 minues!
CoP is considered to be a 'seasonal' attraction...which translates into..it's open when it's busy in the parks. You could find it open, or it could be closed...all on the same trip. We love CoP in our family. We have to do it once on every trip...right after we do the PeopleMover (over and over).
With Buzz Lightyear being down for refurbishment, will COP be open in February? I am taking my 77 year old Uncle and I think he would really enjoy COP, so am hoping it will be open. Anyone know the schedule?
We did CoP in late December. First time I had been back on it since the Worlds Fair in 1965....(yes I am old )....Thought it was great and brought back lots of old memories BUT my two teenage DS's thought it was a big joke and it, along with the song, were the running joke for the rest of the trip.
Well I got the last word since I bought the CD with the song on it and play it in the car every chance I get.
