I have read the reports in the sticky, but I was wondering if anyone else has more to say?

-Are the doors to the rooms outside or inside?

-How is the parking? Safe? Easy? Enough spots?

-Did anyone request a king bed and not get it?

-Do they have cribs for free?

- Any other good or bad things to know or rooms we should make sure we are not in?

We had to change our plans and our now staying the Carousel. We usually stay the on Disney Property, but the Military changed our plans for us and now we are going two weeks earlier and staying off site. I am a bit nervous, but I am sure it will work out ok.

We're staying there next week, so I can give better answers then, but what I know... parking is a problem, it seems there are not enough spaces (not what I wnat to hear since we'll be arriving very late our first night), breakfast isn't much, the doors to the rooms are from outside corridors. I don't know about cribs, but I would call now and have it put in your room reservation. Here is their website if you need it. http://www.carouselinnandsuites.com/ We have a 2 bedroom/2 bath suite reserved. When do you leave? We'll be there Nov 18-23.

We stayed at the Carousel quite a few years ago, and while it was nothing fancy, it was nice and clean. We weren't in a suite, but our room still came with a fridge and microwave. I agree that the breakfast was nothing special, but it was good enough to get us going and not have to buy something. We did not have a car, so I don't know about parking, but the walk to DL was really short.

We stayed there last year in February. we didn't have a problem with parking but only made 3 or 4 trips to the store/eating during the week. If you have a 2bd/2bth suite ask for the one on the end of the floor. It's a better layout and a little more square footage than the 2bd/2bth in the middle.

The breakfast was ok. After five days of it, I was ready to have something else. I love milk and should have bought some from the store to have with my pastries since they don't have milk. I could have put it in the fridge.

I thought the pool was small. When the 13 of us went swimming there wasn't alot of room to swim. Fortunately there were only a few other people there.

I love that it is so close.

Can't comment on the crib or king bed. We brought our pack n play and had queen beds. HTH

Thank you for the info, our trip is from 27 Nov to 1 Dec. Thank you for the link, I have looked at it and didn't find it to have lots of information, just enough to show you a little about the hotel. We made our plan via kingdommagictravel.com so I don't know what they have given us as far as the numder of beds blah blah blah. I guess I should call next week and put my requests in, then call again on our drive down.

If anyone else has comments, please post them.

Have a Great Disney Day!!!

Looks like everyone has answered most of your questions. Carousel is my first choice for an offsite hotel. I've stayed there many times now.

I don't know about cribs, never needed one.

I could have sworn I stayed in a room with a king bed before, but on my last trip I was told they didn't have any. The only rooms with single beds are queen. ?? Oh well, guess my memory is going?

We've never had a probelm with parking. We might not have gotten a spot close to our room or near the staircase we wanted, but we've always found a spot to park.

While the breakfast is not much (it is free afterall) it is better than some I've had in surrounding hotels. You get toast, jelly, danish, muffins, oatmeal (they have brown sugar but no milk, I just use the coffee creamer), juice, coffee and fruit. Many of the other places just have danish and coffee, so I feel you do get a little more here. OH, and there is usually a bowl of fruit in the lobby in the afternoon. Made for a nice snack when we went back to take a break.
