Is Carnation Cafe a full service restaurant?
While my wife and I would love to snack on baked potato soup, the kids are really looking forward to the Corn Dog Wagon.
Can we grab some dogs at the wagon and some "to-go" food at Carnation Cafe and sit somewhere nearby to eat?

It's a table service restaurant but it's not. Hard to explain. If you check their menu on the DLR website you might understand what I'm trying to say. They don't have meals that rival the differences in other table service places. For instance, eating at the Blue Bayou is worlds different than eating at the Hungry Bear. Eating at Carnation Cafe is quite similar to eating at something like the River Belle Terrace.

Aside from meeting Oscar, I'm not an advocate for recommending Carnation Cafe. Only real plus imo is getting to sit and eat on Main Street.

In July, I was able to get the baked potato soup to go. They put it in a to go coffee cup. They don't have to go soup bowls so I assume this is not something they regularly do.

We enjoyed Carnation Cafe earlier this month. They are a full service restaurant. There is inside seating and outside seating. The food was quite good and flavorful. I wouldn't think they would have an issue bringing a few corn dogs in for the kids. I highly recommend reservations if you are going at a peak breakfast, lunch or dinner time. I made reservations for 6pm and the wait for walk ins was just under an hour. I was seated within 5 minutes. We asked for outside so we could watch the parade at 6:30pm while we enjoyed dinner. It was great!
