Carnation Cafe & Cafe Orleans?

We would like to eat at both of these restuaurants on our next visit....but we don't know which days and whether we want to do breakfasts or dinner.....will it be possible to do walk ups for both of these places or should I call and make last minute PS's? Thanks!

I don't know if Carnation Cafe takes PS . . .just ate there yesterday and we walked up and got a table at 1:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday with no wait at all, just for the party in front of us. Maybe I was lucky . . .

For breakfast at Cafe Orleans, you probably dont need PS, for later in the day meals you'll want them. We usually call the morning we want to go to Carnation and get a PS for later that morning for breakfast. Its the only meal I've eat at either of them.

We make PS at both for later in the day, just my level of paranoia. Try to cut down the standing in line as much as possible. Early AM I would doubt that you will.

We've eaten at Carnation Cafe twice for breakfast (both times arriving between 10:15 - 10:30 on weekdays). Both times NO PSs & both times several tables available. When we were leaving (between 11 - 11:20) a short line had formed waiting for lunch opening. Our experience is described here:

You can always go ahead and make a PS for both. Last time we were at DL, there was always a huge long line for Carnation Cafe -- I guess it just depends on when you go! I figure I will make one PS lunch ressie for each day on our next trip, because the lines can sometimes be sooooo long at lunchtime. I haven't been to Cafe Orleans yet, but I am dying to try their Monte Cristo and Mickey beignets!!

When we were there, a month ago, we had PS for 10.50am at Carnation Cafe. When we arrived there was a very long line for standby... We already had our foot and were almost finished before I saw some of them being led to a table! My recommendation is to make PS!

The breakfast at Carnation Cafe was lovely! My kids loved the Mickey waffles...

I was there two weeks ago and had a PS for Carnation Cafe, first time slot when the park opened at 9:00 AM. Was glad I had it because there was quite a line. There were people sitting out there in line that did not move up at all the whole time we were there because the place was full. And this was on a Monday morning! Go ahead and get the PS. Can't comment on Cafe Orleans but breakfast at Carnation Cafe on the first day of a DL visit is a tradition for us and we always, always enjoy. Great way to start our time at DL!

We had PS for Café Orleans on Wednesday @ 9:30 am and there were plenty of tables available. The Mickey Beignets were wonderful and were served with a creme anglaise and a raspberry sauce! Delicious!!

personally I think it depends on what time of year you go as to whether you need to make a PS...I always do no matter what just because its my luck I wouldnt make one and I would need it Ive eaten breakfast at both places...I totally love CC for breakfast...CO I would rather eat lunch or dinner there than breakfast...my 3 favorite breakfast places at DL is CC, RBT, and minnie and friends character breakfast at PI....


PS...anybody that tries to find good coffee at DL can find it at any of the above places...really good coffee!! not nesca caca

We always do Carnation Cafe and the wait can get really bad. We've always just done lunches there. Definitely can get and should get Priority Seating. Probably the best food we have while we're there, so we do it a couple times a trip.

I just got PS for the day I will be leaving to fly home I figure Mickey pancakes are a must so that night sleeping in my ownbed I can have FANTASTIC dreams of my DL trip
