We're going to DL in September and right now it is all about the food to me. (I'm in my second trimester and I want to eat well).

I need some opinions about breakfast at the Carnation Cafe. Is it good? What do you recommend there? We've got ADRs there for lunch but I'm wondering if I should do a breakfast there too.

I haven't eaten there for breakfast, but everyone seems to think it is fab! They have giant cinnamon rolls and the famous Mickey Mouse waffles.
We will make ADR's there for lunch as well -- I want to try their breakfast, too! They have menus at www.allears.net

or click on this:
www.allears.net/dlr/tp/dl/dl_rest.htm

just click on the restaurant of your choice and the menu will come up.

Hope this helps!!

Their breakfasts are great. We ate their for breakfast last November and I have posted the photos on the picture food thread, if you are interested. Their cinnamon roll french toast was awesome.

 If you are there for a few days you should try the Riverbelle for breakfast also, they also have huge cinnamon rolls and my family swears they have the best pancakes ever. The Plaza also has a wonderful breakfast buffet but it is kind of pricey.

Another vote for Carnation. We always try to have breakfast one day at Carnation. Their lunches are good too.

Thanks. I have seen the menus and the cinnamon roll french toast does intrigue me. Any other opinions?

I just got PS for there when I go next month, I have read good things about it so why not, I can't wait.:cool1:

We always have breakfast at Carnation. I like the Oscar's Special - eggs on a criossant. The menu does change, so be prepared.

Yes, Carnation is great for breakfast, but you do want a PS. This is a popular spot for breakfast, and it's small.

I'm going to try Cafe Orleans for breakfast later this month. I didn't realize that they served breakfast until I saw a breakfast menu on allearsnet.com. Disneyland.com only lists lunch and dinner, but I did confirm that they serve breakfast and made a PS when I made my other PS's for my upcoming trip. The menu looks really good!

This is good news. We have breakfast scheduled there for a weerk from this Saturday. Our ADR is at 8am and our VIP Tour Guide is meeting us there are 10am ... I figured that would give us time if they were late (as they usually are) in seating us. I am glad to hear, though, that everyone seems to like it there.

Cafe Orleans breakfast is great! And if you go really early, like at park opening, I have never seen it crowded, so you should be able to get one of the tables closest to the water!

By eating well I hope you don't mean healthy ;)

We've always seen Carnation Cafe as a bit skimpy. We always, ALWAYS have breakfast at River Belle Terrace. OMGoodness, heaven! Great portions and AMAZING pancakes!

Not skimpy for our family (DW, DS 8, & me).

First time DW got the Crossaint Benedict (which is fantastic). She is an eggs benedict fanatic & says it's superlative. DS got the kids Micky waffle & I got a big (egg/sausage etc.) breakfast. It was all great, but too much food.

The second time, DW & DS got the same items & I got the granola parfait this time (much better & prettier than it sounds & yummy). I also helped DW & DS finish their wonderful items. All 3 meals were great & the perfect amount of food.

The Carnation will be always be our special breakfast tradition on EE days (after touring hard for 2 1/2 hours).

have fun. :thumbsup2
