Can anyone tell me have the Caribbean Resort's rooms recently been refurbished? I just read a Facebook post that said they had but I have read lots of posts that say the rooms are what lets this resort down as they are old and dated.

I read 2015
No that’s not right it was 2018. I just did some searching and found it.

The main building and some other major resort refurbs were done in 2018, but the rooms were not. They were last done in '15-'16.

OP, we have been several times in the past few years and the rooms don't bother me. I stayed in POP recently and the room there is more modern and has no carpet and those sorts of new fresh things, so in comparison CBR rooms do feel a little oldish, but nothing that was a turn off to me. I love the door separating the room from the sink area.

I just got back from a 3-split stay (Coronado, Yacht and CB) plus stayed a week at Pop last year.
The rooms at CB are not updated - maybe technically had some refreshes, but compared to Pop or another moderate resort room, these are the worst. The bathrooms are small and dingy, and the rooms still have carpet and loud wall A/C units.
The lobby is super nice, and location is great, but we actually said after this trip that it wasn’t worth it - we should have stayed longer at Coronado instead.

Touring Plans is not correct here. As a PP mentioned, the rooms have not been refurbished since 2015 or so, even though they made major changes to the rest of the resort in 2018.

I agree. We stayed there twice last year because it was one of the few choices over the summer and we thought the rooms were not great but we liked the rest of the resort. They definitely need updating, especially for what they're charging now with the skyliner.

Ok darn I was hoping they did recently!
