Caribbean Resort Construction

Wow the pictures of the work going on at the Caribbean Resort look like a lot more than replacing a slide to me! What Villages should I ask for to avoid looking at this eyesore? The Cast Member I talked to said they were just replacing a slide in the pool. We chose the CBR for the beauty of the scenery. Anyone know what the real story is on this. We are going in February. Thanks

I think you would be fine anywhere.

the main pool is at the food court/gift shop - which is not that close to anything.

even the ones across the lake from it - might not be bothered - because it really isn't that close.

The construction was never about replacing a slide. The construction going on now is the start of the pool refurb. In January the main pool is being closed. There is supposed to be a new larger pool built.

They do have fencing and screen up so it is very hard to see the work being done unless you stand in a place that allows you to see behind the screens. I took pictures behind the screens because I knew here on the DIS everyone would want to know what is going on.

If you are going in February the main pool is going to be closed. They installed slides in two of the quiet pools. I always update the first post of the CBR FAQ with the updated information I receive. As the work progresses I will be updating the photos as well.
