We just arrived at CBR a couple hours ago and was lucky enough to get our room requests. We asked for a second floor corner room. Our room is in Martinique building 22 which is very quiet with nice landscape. we used the bus to HS and only waited about 2 or 3 minutes both ways. HS was suppose to be one of the the best parks today for crowds and it was crazy crazy crazy busy. another somber note is the rudeness and bad behavior....sheesh, I hope it's better tomorrow.Overall though, I like the resort.

Checked in today as well....we are neighbors in building 23. We didn't have a park day today but did take the bus to Disney Springs. Waited about 15 minutes for the bus. I have to say that thus far this is my favorite place among the mods that I have stayed at (POR and CSR on past trips). Love the atmosphere here. It has definitely taken a few walks to get acclimated and find my way around but I am getting settled in now. I like the building we are in...so close to bus stop and between two quiet pools. Walk to Old Port Royale is not bad either. We had originally requested 22 as well but this is just as acceptable as my top choice was to be on a low floor close to bus stop.

I got TOTALLY LOST...in a pouring rain storm! Stayed there with DGD and her soccer team in 2014 for the International Youth Soccer Tournament at ESPN. We had a block of rooms in Barbados. The special transportation bus was stationed between Barbados and Martinique; DD, DGD and I left ESPN right before one of those famous Florida thunderstorms complete with lots of lightening and very loud thunder! (The team was still on the field as we started toward the exit but were called off about 5 minutes later. They were to follow in the next bus.) We arrived at the special transportation area; DD and DGD took one "route back" and I another. Well I got completely "turned around" and figured that out when I spotted Old Port Royale as I was dodging lightening strikes! I found a dry spot and called DD...she (laughing the entire time ) "guided" me "home" over the phone! Enjoy your stay!

You were probably dealing with a bunch of tired marathon runners! The Star Wars Dark Side Challenge was today and participants gathered at HS after finishing the race. One of my Dis friends is fool enough to run those marathons and he messaged me earlier that he, and fellow runners, were enjoying their downtime in HS. Sorry you had to deal with rudeness and bad behavior; I can assure you my friend wasn't involved in that. He's a SWEETHEART! Hate to tell you this but tomorrow (Sunday beginning at 5 AM) the Star Wars Half Marathon takes place. You'd probably be wise to stay away from HS on Sunday also.

One of my Dis friends is fool enough to run those marathons and he messaged me earlier that he, and fellow runners, were enjoying their downtime in HS. Sorry you had to deal with rudeness and bad behavior; I can assure you my friend wasn't involved in that. He's a SWEETHEART! We are also here for the half marathon. I have to defend my fellow runners; everyone I have seen has been well behaved.
We also went to HS yesterday. It was unbelievably packed and the main groups I noticed were high school band groups. I wouldn't call them badly behaved-a little loud when they talked but nothing terrible. There was a group of sorority sisters (wearing their jackets, I won't mention which chapter)in line at tower of terror that were obnoxious. Swearing, talking loudly in front of children about who they were "hooking up" with, etc. that is the only remarkable bad behavior I have seen this Tripp.

I remember those "band day" ; chaperoning those excited kids is quite a challenge but oh so much fun and memories that will last a lifetime...especially one associated with ToT. Let's just say one of the kids focused on the terror! Our stay at CB during the soccer tournament was great! Our room number in Barbados was 1128...we had all the rooms on the ground floor and extended over to ground floor rooms facing the water. Super fun with the girls and families all staying so close to one another. I'm not surprised HS was crazy crowded yesterday after the run; my friend always tells us the "after party" makes the training worth it. Hoping you had a good final time on the run and enjoy the rest of the day!

CBR is so quiet and I have used the buses again today and never waited more than 10 minutes...we went to AK and Disney Springs. They can keep that place. so packed that you couldn't fit in some of the stores..hordes of people!Wading through a sea of humanity tonight was not enjoyable. at all! I guess that's why coming back to a quiet resort is nice. I think I miss my kayak.

Glad you love it!! CBR is still one of our favorites, even over some of the deluxes! I hope the crowds get better! Have a great trip!

Last night we watched the fireworks from Martinique beach Our beast night sleep so far...the beds and pillows are comfy. We slept in and it was quiet in our building until 8am then you could hear a few doors opening and shutting. The refill mugs were a good idea. Each one of us have filled at least twice a day so far. I can't complain about the resort but the crowds at all of the parks seem to be far worse than any previous trips.
