I thought I had read the projected date for some of the rooms at Caribbean Beach to sleep 5. I can't find it now. Does anyone know what it is? We're going down for GeekyCon next year at the end of July and will have my oldest dd's BFF during the conference, so need room for 5 inexpensively.

(we've stayed All Stars before, hate it. We LOVE the cabins- cha-ching, out of budget this time, renting points, deluxe and AoA also out of budget, kids are too big to be comfortable in the pull out at POR) We're doing the parks after GeekyCon so I'd rather not move hotels.

There are some pulldown beds in the refurbed rooms at the CBR. From what others have been told, they will be able to book rooms for five as soon as the refurb is complete which should be around May, 2015. It's possible that you could book a room for five before the refurb is complete but nobody knows for sure yet.

If you haven't already, I'd suggest that you go to the Disney Resorts boards and subscribe to the CBR thread. Updates are posted there fairly regularly.

The pictures I saw of CBR show the same murphy bed as POR -- so if POR won't work, CBR won't work. :confused3

I thought I had read that CBR was getting bunks? I've also heard murphy bed. Off to google again.... Ok- here's the term that I only remembered half of "bunk-size fold-down bed". Disney says my then 10yo will be too big for the bed in POR. But the pictures of that bed do not look any smaller than the pull downs on the cruise and they were just fine on that bed. The 5 of us do have POR booked in Jan before our cruise. The reservationist really didn't want to book it. I told her it would be fine for one night. lol If that ends up fine then CBR will be for a few days too.
