@dansdad - Haven't you always said that if you book "water view" you could be placed in a standard OR a preferred room that is "water view"?

I know I'm splitting hairs here, but not completely correct. There are no Standard Rooms that have a Water View nor are there any Preferred Rooms that have a Water View. There are only Water View Rooms which can be next to a Standard Room or next to a Preferred Room.

Those are incorrect statements. I will ask mickeystoontown to edit those. I have gotten my information directly from one of the room assigners at CBR. Also, just for argument's sake how would somebody be assigned one of the 8 Water View Rooms that are in Martinique 25 if they can't book those rooms? And what would the rate for those rooms be?

No, water view (and King) rooms can be in any building in any village other than Trinidad South, which are the Pirate Rooms. Pirate rooms have their own water view bookable category. You can book water view and be placed in a preferred building or in a standard building.

OK, I apologize for the misinformation. It was my understanding that the preferred rooms that were water view were considered preferred over water view and that standard rooms were subdivided into different views but preferred rooms were not. That is how it was explained to me by a CM, but we all know that info on the Disboards is the best! Thank you, Dansdad

I guess somebody needs to tell whoever is managing the CBR thread to edit their information in their last few threads. Especially since all the other mods have preferred only buildings. How nice to get a free upgrade worth $35/night, just by requesting it. How great is it that we could all save almost $250/week and still get both a water view room and a premium locatíon!!! Wowza. This should become a top Disney money saving tip. Somebody needs to post this on the budget board. I'll definitely be making this my #1 request from now on. Who needs Jamaica or Aruba if you can have Martinique or Trinidad N.

Actually POR is the same way. At POR you can be in buildings 14, 15, 18 or 27 if you booked a preferred, king or river view room.

You are correct. With a Water View, or King, room booked you can request Trinidad North Martinique 24, 25 or 26. But you won't be able to request those during Online Check In. You will have to call the main reservation line and add those requests to your reservation. This can be done anytime from the day you book up until 4-5 days out.

As long as you are aware that the building/village is only a request and you could still end up with a Water View in a different section of the resort.

In theory. Or you could end up in a building as far away as can be from where you truly want to be. So ask yourself if you really want preferred or would be ok with a water view that was not preferred.

Can you advise with standard accessible rooms? We need 4 rooms close together, so we can help with the ones with limited mobility. ground floor because we have one that doesnt do stairs, and close to main building and transportation. What sort of requests should I make...and what are the chances of getting our requests. I have never made special requests before, but my mother has declined so much in the last couple of years (dementia and limited mobility) We want one last family trip, but I am worried about accommodating her needs and the stress that it will be on my dad (who also has an adult son with special needs, that will need help). If I had known that CBR was so big and spread out, I would have booked somewhere else, so now I want to do all I can to make sure that this vacation is only good memories for all of us! Honestly, I wouldn't be too concerned about location for only 1 night - but that's just me.
