There is a bus stop at every village so you are never far from a bus stop. If you want to be close to the food court and main pool I suggest you request Jamaica or Aruba. It is a short walk across the bridge to the food court.

Scoutsmom, Thank you, thank you, & thank you.

Great pics Scoutsmom!! I also took your advice and requested a room in Jamaica. I think this is really going to work out. :sunny:

We are staying at CBR for a few days in August before our cruise. My question is...is there an ATM machine at the resort?

:thumbsup2 So, how long does it take to get to the parks from the resort? I know earlier someone posted that it takes about 7 minutes to circle the hotel grounds, but once you leave, is a long trip to MK, Epcot, AK or MGM? Does it take as long as some people say? I like the theme of the resort. It does look nice.

I don't know the bus routes, but by proximity, you're closest to MGM, followed by Epcot, AK and MK, in that order, I believe.

I believe there is one where you enter the Old Port Royal, I think it's next to the washrooms.

Safetymom, you are a fountain of info. What great pics :thumbsup2 I requested a room in Jamaica as we aren't paying for a preferred location. So I'm hoping for a little pixiedust:

Well unlike what I stated earlier I called today and booked preferred location. I've read alot of good things about Jamaica and that really appeals to me but I don't want to take the chance of having to walk a long way after a tiring day, especially with a hormonal 5 yo dd.

I am going to be honemooning in WDW at CBR and was just wondering if there were any special rooms for honeymooners? I don't think there are but ya never know, so I figured I would ask! :sunny:

I am not aware of any special rooms for honeymooners. CBR is a perfect place for your honeymoon. Congratulations.

What months are the band at CBR? When my family and I were there May '00 it was the cherry on top to hear the themed band. But in Aug '02 and Sept '05 they were not there -ever. :confused3

I would like to know as well. We were there last July and I never saw a band. Were are going back in August and would love a little live music! :)

I don't think they have a live band anymore. :( I haven't seen one for a couple of years. For different holidays I have seen someone with a keyboard do karaoke to some songs.

From what I have read, each room has a coffeemaker. I was just reading another post somewhere and it says that the coffee provided in the room
will be charged to your account. Is this true. I thought (or maybe presumed) that it would be included.
I have already pondered bringing my own coffee and I wondered what kind of filter does the coffemaker take. Is it only a 4cup? Does it only take those pre-packaged coffee filters? I read somewhere that Starbucks has prepackaged
ones.

We are going to be staying at CBR May 17 - 23!!! :cheer2: We are soooo excited. This will be our families first visit to WDW!!! :thumbsup2 My 10 yr old DD personally picked out CBR from the very beginning planning stage. Because of conflicts I had to change our travel times, and when I finally had a set date, there were no preferred rooms available. I booked a water view room, and have checked back numerous times for a preferred room, but none have become available. When I booked, I requested to be in Jamaica Bldg 45. We want to be as close to the main pool and Port Royale as possible. Should I call the CBR directly and make sure they have our room request???? I am so nervous about our room location. I really want to be close to the main pool. Is there any way to find out ahead of check in time what bldg you will be in????? I am just so nervous....I want this to be the perfect trip for us!!!! :worried:

You are not charged for the coffee in the room. I brought down Starbucks and filters (get the small flat ones) for my mom to use on one trip. It is only a 4 cup. I'm not sure that it does the prepackaged ones.
