Caribbean Beach Resort FAQ's Part II

I have just booked a trip for 2/23-3/4 at CBR for DH, DD18 and myself. We usually stay at POR but found out the food court is going to be closed. We like the relaxed atmosphere at POR. In looking at the other two moderates, CBR & CSR, it looks like CBR is the more relaxed. I'm going to be spending more time reviewing this thread later and will be looking for help. Luckily, DH & I will be at WDW in December and can stop by and check out CBR.

Wishes2you, you can take your flight info to the Custom House, and and one of the CM's will access the website for you so that you can check in for your flight . We have done this before with no problem.

My younger sis is going to be staying at the Pop Century I was wondering What is or is there an easy way to get between the CBR and Pop Century?
Is transportation between any value hotels to the CBR easy?:
DisneylandPlanner,
Spicey is right....no easy/quick way between most resorts. Really the best bet is to take the POP bus to any major park, then board a bus at that park to a bus going to CBR. Allow a minimum of 1 hour to get from one resort to another (includes wait times). This is where a rental car comes in handy at WDW. We do a good amount of resort dining and shopping and always use our car for that purpose.
This was my issue for our Dec trip. My friends are at POP, but I could only get CBR. I wasn't originally planning on renting a car, but decided to do so just for the fact of getting between the two resorts.

We have done both POR and CBR this last year and loved both resorts. The one ralaxing thing I loved to do at CBR was take a nap in the beach side hammicks in the afternoon; very relaxing. Hopefully you will get great weather in Febuary.

Thanks for the reassurance about CBR. We are actually looking forward to it after reading some of these FAQ's and getting info from other CBR lovers. It sounds very similar to POR which we love. We usually go the 1st week of March and moved it up a week this year to the last week of February. The average temp is 2 degrees different so it really should be similar to what we are used to. Hopefully, it will be a good year. We did have one cold week during one of our trips so it just depends on the year.

According to the unoffical WDW guide it takes 41 minutes to get to Epcot from CBR. Is that true???
According to my Passporter guide book, it's 15 min. I've never stayed at CBR before, but I do stay at OKW quite often and that's about 15 min as well. These two resorts are fairly close.

I agree it takes about 15 mins. Maybe it takes 41 mins. if you decided to walk which I don't advise.

Hi everyone, we arrived back late friday from CBR. It was our first trip to WDW and we had a wonderful time. The weather was chilly last week. I was so looking forward to warmer weather than we have here in MA. That was a little disappointing. Other than that though our trip was great. CBR was absolutely beautiful and all it's CM's were wonderful. They were helpful, kind, always asking us if we were having a wonderful time or if we needed anything. We were in Barbados, it was a little walk over to OPR, but a beautiful one so it was enjoyable. DH & DD13 swam even though it was chilly. Pools were very clean as were the rooms and the laundry area. I did find that hammock with my name on it. I didn't want to leave. The weather was beginning to warm up on Friday. We never had to wait long for the shuttle buses and they were quick getting to our destination. One of the CM at CBR came and chatted with us during dinner on a couple of occasions. DD13 told him about something that had happened in MK that day and what she had done in response to it. (Good Deed) Later he came back and gave her a pixie dust pin and explained about it. He made her day. We had a few magical
moments during our trip. Thank you to everyone here once again. :grouphug:

I am so looking forward to my first visit at CBR this Friday

I went over to CBR this morning in the middle of a rainstorm. I am sorry it isn't bright and sunny in the pics. The resort looks beautiful decorated for Christmas.

SafetyMom...thanks for the terrific pics!!! We leave for CBR in 10 days, and the place looks gorgeous! Everyone appears to be dressed for chilly weather...brrrr, I'm hoping for a warm spell.

It was an ugly morning. This afternoon the sun came out and it was beautiful day. Not too hot and no humidity. I had shorts on again.

Thanks so much for the terrific pics safetymom ! I'll be there in about 24 hours ! It would have been great to meet you had I been there yesterday. I appreciate all the help/advice you've given.
