Arg, I know I read it somewhere, maybe it was closed last december and I read an old update or something.

Okay, so I'm just smoking something apparently. I know I read it, I remember reading about what rooms are best at CBR and seeing info on one of the quiet pools in the preferred sections (I thought Martinique) and thinking that sucks, etc. However, I can't find it anywhere on any of the sites I visit and I think that it would have been mentioned, so it must either have been posted in error whereever I read it and now its gone or I just didn't notice the date and it was last year or something. So carry on! Sorry about that! I have been reading WAAAY too much lately, I have a huge stack of guidebooks. Who knows what crazy notions have entered my mind

just re-booked our next trip at the CBR for Nov 13th to Nov 21st, 2009. We will also be celebrating our 15th anniversary on the 19th. YIPEE.

I asked before, but I just want to get an update: the refurbs were going on at Aruba the last time I checked. Are they done, or still working on them?

Where did you see that? That must be what I read and I confused Barbados with Martinique.

I think Aruba's renovation is about finished. Tonite, they are putting up barriers in the Jamaica Parking lot like the one in Aruba, where they stockpile new furniture and stuff..............

And for those worried about housekeeping in Bldg 41, 5 nites down, 5 days of normal housekeeping, including beds being made.

That's good to hear. I had excellent Mousekeeping in 4117 when I was there.

Just checking in to say hi...

My mother (who will be turning 50 this WDW vacation ) and I are going to be staying at CBR for our mother daughter trip. We are staying at the Poly in a few weeks and are hoping that CBR will make a nice budget substitution for the spring!!

We had a choice of going deluxe with the basic dining plan
OR
moderate with the deluxe dining plan

and we decided we want to try all the Signatures, so we went with CBR and the deluxe dining plan!!

I can't WAIT to get there, however with another trip on my mind I feel like CBR is getting a little left out. Anyway, can't wait to check this resort out, and we're really looking forward to May crowds and weather after our past three trips have been in July and December.

Love the look of the refurbished room and brand new pool! They're what won us over from trying CSR or having a repeat stay at POR.

Thank you all for all the info and tips it has been a couple of years since I have been at CBR. I am so excited mainly because it will be my 2 littleones first trip to the magical world of Disney. Again thank you all for the reviews pics and all.

And I thought I read somewhere the Martinque quiet pool would be closed during my stay. I have a preferred room and I think that they are in this section as well as trinidad north? If the laundry is by the quiet pool will that also be closed? How much do people find they use the quiet pools? I imagine my kids will be really excited about the main pool since I saw the pictures of the new one and won't be too keen on staying at the quiet pool anyway.

Nope just the pool. We were there 2 weeks ago and the quiet pool at Trinidad North was closed but the laundry was open.

What are they doing with the quiet pools I wonder? Maybe removing the temporary slides they put there while the main pool was closed for reno?

Sorry, Safetymom--I misread your post! We're chicking in on the 20th and hoping that they are finished with the quiet pool by then. Have they been running on time with the quite pool rehabs?
