Could anyone tell me if the pirate rooms are done ? If so how do you get one and whats the charge for them ?

Is the Martinique bldg a preferred bldg? We stayed there on our last stay and really loved our room location! It think it was bldg. 23.

Three of the buildings in Martinique, 24, 25, and 26 are Preferred, but the other three, 21, 22, and 23, are not

Pirate rooms are not done yet, and they will be an extra $25 per night in all categories.

Hi there,
I just wonder if there is a business center( room with computer/internet access and printer) in CBR?
Thanks.
Lynn.

We just checked into CBR this morning (from POR).....we're in Jamaica 43 and there are three trucks (1 of them is the cargo part of an 18 wheeler size...other two are large rental type size) removing furniture from 44. Too bad we couldn't get a newer room....this one literally stinks. There is some funky odor everytime we come into the room. I propped the door open with a chair while we unpacked and settled in, about 2 hours, and tonight when we got back from dinner it still had a funky smell. If it's still there tomorrow I think I'll ask about a different room. It's not too bad after you've been inside for a while, but it's not a pleasant way to return home.

Other than that, we really love it here. The bright colors are so cheerful, the staff has been very very friendly, and our window is all decked out so it's just fun to walk up to the room (until you open the door and it stinks, lol).

And I have to say that I really like the food court here much better than at POR or POFQ......the quality is better and the selection is definitely wider.

We noticed a funny smell in my mom's room when we were there last week. We had connecting rooms with them and the smell was right near the connecting door. This was in building 33.

Other than that the stay was fantastic. We got all our requests except for the nemo rooms. We requested a 1st floor room due to my dad's mobility and the fact we rented a scooter for him.

I'm so relieved to read 2 recent posters above comment that the CBR food court is great! We have young kids and tried our first moderate last Easter --POR -- and we really loved it and especially loved the food court there. I should say what I loved the most was picking my salad ingrediants while they tossed it fresh. We're sure looking forward to trying CBR! What kinds of foods in the food court are especially good? Anything that stands out?

Can you tell me how bad it is to stay in the Trinidad South area? I have been there twice and lucked out each time with great room locations close to the food court.

I am trying to decide whether or not to try one of the new Pirate rooms in the first week of June or splurge and stay at the Beach Club. The trip is a surprise bday trip for my 5 year old and I think he would love the new pool and pirate hotel rooms (plus save me a grand). My husband thinks that the area looks to far away from the main food court/pool.
We will be staying for the first time with our new son who will be about 15 months old at the time (so I want convenience because of him also).
How long does it take to get to Epcot via the bus? That and DHS will be the two parks that we will be at the most.

Thanks for the help!

TS to OPR is about the same distance as it is from the Main Street train station to the Castle, if that helps any. Definitely less than a 10 minute walk. CBR also offers an internal bus if you don't want to walk.

CBR is very close to Epcot. After the bus leaves the resort it's about a 5 minute ride.

You should order your kids the chicken nugget meal. It comes in a plastic sandpail with a shovel that they get to keep.

The foods are really really good at the food court. Let me see if I can give you a sampling of what there is to eat....

The Grab N Go station had premade sandwiches and salads, yogurt, fresh fruit, fruit and cheese platters, boiled eggs and tomatoes, lots of pies and cakes, veggies with dips and a large selection of fresh baked items and drinks.

The pizza and pasta station has baked ziti, fresh tossed salads, breadsticks, spaghetti and pizzas.

There is a burger and hot dog station that has, of course, burgers and hot dogs along with chicken strips and the kids' chicken nuggets served in a sandpail.

Deli sandwiches are served in a separate station. There were reuben sandwiches, philly cheesesteaks, turkey and cheese and more.

At dinner, there is a station that serves rotissiere chicken, turkey and lots of veggies.

During the breakfast hours, you will find Mickey waffles, pancakes, breakfast meats, omelets, fresh baked breads, muffins, fresh fruit and yogurt.

Like I said, these are just a few of the items. There were severl other things you could order.

The food court also has all the fixings for your burgers, lemons for your tea, and an assortment of drinks. There are a couple of microwaves and toasters you can use too. Don't worry about condiments as they can also be found in the food court....jams, jellies, peppers flakes (for pizza and pasta), hot sauces, tea bags, salt, pepper, sugar, sweeteners, etc.

If you want to take your items "to go", just tell the person fixing your meals and they can give you covers for your plates. The cashier will give you a large brown bag with handles so you can carry the items with you.

Hope this helps!

I thought I would share some CBR room pictures here that are from my TR.

Barbados Room 1321, King Bed, regular tub bathroom, first floor, courtyard view, NEMO theme.

The room was very clean and I was really happy that it was brand new carpet.
I have before and after pictures of the room for you.
Here are the before we moved in pictures:

As you can see the Nemo theme isn't over powering. Just enough to remind you that you are at Disney.
After we have been living in the room pictures.

Full fridge. You can fit 3 1/2 gallons on the bottom.

Corner Window.

There was plenty of room behind the door for the stroller. We kept our shoes under the nightstand.

There was a prefect space between the bed and the wall for DS’s Aerobed. And the room beds are now on boxes so you don't have to worry about losing anything under the beds.

Love the coat rack. In the bench I kept all my new purchases and the beach towels.
1103058.jpg

I brought a Ferbrez shoe hanger thing with us for all DS's supplies...worked like a charm!
1103059.jpg

We had enough space on the counters...still washing sippy cups even on vacation!

Here's the smokers courtyard right outside our door.

I think CBR probably has one of the nicest parking lot views for a hotel....lots of greenery and not a lot of concrete.

Mickeystoontown ~ thanks for the great info on the chicken nuggets in the sand pail! I will make a mental note of that.

MRYPPNS ~ enjoyed the pix. Thanks for sharing!

They started at Martinique and proceeded counter-clockwise, so if they are doing Jamaica now that means Aruba has already been completed.

Does anyone know how long a renovation takes for a village at the resort? We're landing at CBR on 12/31 and we've requested Jamaica... If they're renovating now does anyone think it will be done by then? We know a request is not a guarantee - just wondering though!

They tend to only do 1 building at a time, so even if renovations are still going on, 5 of the Jamaica buildings will still be open

Does anyone know exactly when the Pirate rooms are to open up? It seems like I heard the end of January. . . . Have they started working on them yet?
