Thanks for reposting the pictures for me! I'm realy excited to stay at cbr!
Not positive which building number it was. I would think it was buidling 55 since it is waterview. We were on the surrey bike and went around twice. Seemed like it was the first building after barbados. It didn't look like guests were staying in the building either.
Hi all! We're headed back to WDW in Dec./Jan. and we're PSYCHED to be giving CBR a try... (We've only previously stayed at value resorts onsite... So for us this is an upgrade!)
I have a question for everyone - I'm sure this has been previously addressed on this thread or one of the others for CBR - so I'm asking that you bear with me and guide me to my answer or weigh in with your thoughts and opinions as you DISers have always been so helpful!
When we're at CBR I know that internet service is available in the rooms for an additional fee. Tell me, have many of you used it? Was it worth the additional cost? Also, has anyone been able to fit a laptop in the wall safes or what did you do with laptops when you were out of the room if they didn't go in the wall safe?
Thanks in advance for your help!
We normally bring our laptop whenever we go on vacation. 2 years ago we brought our old to Fort Wilderness and didn't have any problems. The cost is about $10 for 24 hours. Last year we brought our new one to CBR and we couldn't get it to work. I think it had to do with Vista and not CBR. Tech support was very pleasant, but we could never get the laptop to connect. We ended up bringing to our breakfast at Chef Mickeys and used the wireless there. I believe that the cost was $5.00 for 1 hour and $10 for 24 hours.
The safe is not big enough to store the laptop. We just put ours back in the suitcase and put that under the bed. However, if you get the nemo rooms, I heard that you can no longer store anything under the beds.
Is is worth it? For us, yes, as we are both in fantasy football leagues and need to get our lineups in. I also check my work email.
Okay, I'm not sure how to read the $10 for 24 hours. So, if I'm at CBR and tell them I want to sign up for internet service, do I get 24 hours as one day, such as all of tuesday for the 24 hours and if I want wireless connection on Wednesday, I have to sign up again? That's how I understood it a few pages back when I asked this question. Today when I read the quoted post, I read it differently. So now wondering if it is actually a total of 24 hours over the course of our 9 night trip from check in time till check out time and if we don't go over the 24 hours total in that whole trip, we'll only get charged a one time fee of $10? That almost makes more sense and certainly would be cheaper as we wouldn't go over that 24 hours during that week. So, what's the real deal? Thanks!

Have you rented boats or bikes?
I'm thinking of taking off one afternoon from running all around the parks and just enjoying the pool and whatever else there is to offer.
How big is the lake? Is there some type of small speedboat or something my DH and DS could rent and drive around? Thanks.
Mousekeeping was fine, and the room was clean. They could use the refurb....and that is coming from what I read. My husband has sore knees from banging them on the bedposts.
The food was great tasting. The food service was painfully SLOW! Sometimes it seemed intentional. Example: I walk up to the pizza counter to place an order and the 2 ladies facing me turn and walk away to nowhere in particular at all (sung to the tune of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride). They were 6 feet from me with their backs turned doing NOTHING!!! After about 30 seconds the younger one turns and says...oh do you need to order? It was humorously maddening
. After ordering, you do end up waiting for most items....a pretty long wait, and then you pay. They really want you to all be together when you pay, and that was just hard sometimes. Nothing horrible just annoying when you are hungry.
