Thanks for reposting the pictures for me! I'm realy excited to stay at cbr!

:cheer2: LOVE THE PHOTOS! Thank you so much for posting them. CBR is our favorite moderate and we'll be staying there next August in a preferred location room.

Not positive which building number it was. I would think it was buidling 55 since it is waterview. We were on the surrey bike and went around twice. Seemed like it was the first building after barbados. It didn't look like guests were staying in the building either.

Thanks for the info Kaysmommie!!

If you'd like to see more pictures of the resort itself, just let me know and I'll post those for you as well.[/QUOTE]

We always enjoy more pics! :)

I'd love to see more pics too! :) I'll be returning in Feb. We're usually at the Polynesian, my favorite resort, but the CBR was the first Disney resort we ever stayed at, and we return from time to time. I love the colors and happy, festive feel of the resort.

I would love to see more pictures also. Does anyone have a picture of the rooms with king beds in them? Are they in every village or just certain ones? Our reservation says king bed, water view. I'm still hoping to change it to double beds so DD and I can each have our own beds but am hoping to be able to request a perferred location if I cant change it. TIA for any help. :goodvibes

Here are some of the pictures that I took during our stay at the CBR. I've posted them before but they are many many pages back. Again, they aren't in any kind of order. (Sorry) Enjoy!

Safe. (My husband has epilepsy and takes a good bit of medication. We were able to put all his meds., a portable dvd player, a PSP, a wallet and a set of keys in the safe. It was a pretty tight fit.)

Hi all! We're headed back to WDW in Dec./Jan. and we're PSYCHED to be giving CBR a try... (We've only previously stayed at value resorts onsite... So for us this is an upgrade!)

I have a question for everyone - I'm sure this has been previously addressed on this thread or one of the others for CBR - so I'm asking that you bear with me and guide me to my answer or weigh in with your thoughts and opinions as you DISers have always been so helpful!

When we're at CBR I know that internet service is available in the rooms for an additional fee. Tell me, have many of you used it? Was it worth the additional cost? Also, has anyone been able to fit a laptop in the wall safes or what did you do with laptops when you were out of the room if they didn't go in the wall safe?

Thanks in advance for your help!

We normally bring our laptop whenever we go on vacation. 2 years ago we brought our old to Fort Wilderness and didn't have any problems. The cost is about $10 for 24 hours. Last year we brought our new one to CBR and we couldn't get it to work. I think it had to do with Vista and not CBR. Tech support was very pleasant, but we could never get the laptop to connect. We ended up bringing to our breakfast at Chef Mickeys and used the wireless there. I believe that the cost was $5.00 for 1 hour and $10 for 24 hours.

The safe is not big enough to store the laptop. We just put ours back in the suitcase and put that under the bed. However, if you get the nemo rooms, I heard that you can no longer store anything under the beds.

Is is worth it? For us, yes, as we are both in fantasy football leagues and need to get our lineups in. I also check my work email.

Okay, I'm not sure how to read the $10 for 24 hours. :confused3 So, if I'm at CBR and tell them I want to sign up for internet service, do I get 24 hours as one day, such as all of tuesday for the 24 hours and if I want wireless connection on Wednesday, I have to sign up again? That's how I understood it a few pages back when I asked this question. Today when I read the quoted post, I read it differently. So now wondering if it is actually a total of 24 hours over the course of our 9 night trip from check in time till check out time and if we don't go over the 24 hours total in that whole trip, we'll only get charged a one time fee of $10? That almost makes more sense and certainly would be cheaper as we wouldn't go over that 24 hours during that week. So, what's the real deal? Thanks! :goodvibes

We just returned from our 7 night stay at CBR. We used the internet and it was for a 24 hour block of time....you start usage at 9 am and end usage at 9am the next day. We felt it very worthwhile...and we just left our laptop out. I don't guess I highly reccomend that....it's just what we did :goodvibes .

We had a total blast at our grand gathering :grouphug: . We had 10 peeps and they put us in rooms right next to each other and also connecting. We were in Aruba 51. It was a fabulous location! Us girlies really loved the look of Jamaica. It was so pretty, and I think next time I will request it...I even know what bldg I would like.

Mousekeeping was fine, and the room was clean. They could use the refurb....and that is coming from what I read. My husband has sore knees from banging them on the bedposts :upsidedow . But it is just a GREAT resort! We would return there in a heartbeat! We are sad that we did not spend more time just relaxing and enjoying the ambiance. It was just lovely!!

The food was great tasting. The food service was painfully SLOW! Sometimes it seemed intentional. Example: I walk up to the pizza counter to place an order and the 2 ladies facing me turn and walk away to nowhere in particular at all (sung to the tune of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride);) . They were 6 feet from me with their backs turned doing NOTHING!!! After about 30 seconds the younger one turns and says...oh do you need to order? It was humorously maddening  . After ordering, you do end up waiting for most items....a pretty long wait, and then you pay. They really want you to all be together when you pay, and that was just hard sometimes. Nothing horrible just annoying when you are hungry.

We just loved CBR and I will answer any questions anyone may have :goodvibes .

It is for a continuous 24 hours. So if you are 1st charged at 9am today, your $10 will cover you until 9am tomorrow, no matter how long you actually use the connection. If you want to use the connection again tomorrow at 10am, you will be charged another $10 that is good until 10am the next day. I hope I haven't confused you any more.

BTW, there is no wireless at CBR, I know CR has it and I think one other resort has it.

Have you rented boats or bikes?

I'm thinking of taking off one afternoon from running all around the parks and just enjoying the pool and whatever else there is to offer.

How big is the lake? Is there some type of small speedboat or something my DH and DS could rent and drive around? Thanks.

There are Sea Raycer boats available for rental on the resort's 45-acre lake. They don't go real fast, but it's still fun. CBR is a great place to relax and enjoy all the recreation options there! There's a 1.4-mile Promenade walkway around the lake, and there are bike rentals at the marina if you're interested in that. And of course, all the beaches and the new pool....!:cool1:

I had the exact same problem with the bedposts. After the first day, I wrapped towels around them and taped them in palce with duct tape. I'll try to post a picture later.

I had the exact same experience with the food court. I tried to get a hotdog from the grill, but the lady taking orders insisted on chatting with each customer for 4 or 5 minutes (literally -- I timed it) before she would take their order. Luck there were only three people ahead of us. Once she took the order it took 5 minutes for the kitchen to take the hotdog out of the steamer tray and put it on a bun (you could see the cooks just standing and chatting with each other). 20 minutes is too long to wait for a hot dog when you're the 4th person in line!
