Finally going back to CBR in January! It is by far our favorite moderate! :thumbsup2

I will have to go back and read through this thread and read about all the changes. Can't wait to see the new pool!

Curious, has anyone (anyone's children) done the Islands of the Caribbean Pirate Adventure Cruise at CBR? (sorry if that has already been talked about here!)

Thanks! :goodvibes

Is there an estimate of when they'll be done with the refurbs? We'll be there in December and I'm wondering if I will get a new room too?

We would like to know as well, we will be there in December also. If we don't it's no big deal, I look at it like an added bonus if we do :)

I think they are only doing a refurb of the main pool, not any of the rooms.

Rooms are being refurbished right now ::yes:: Bldg 24 has some rooms completed. :)

Safetymom has posted photos of the new rooms on this thread - check out page 62! :)

And Pg. 59 as well. The rooms look lovely and we are very excited to stay in them this Dec. and the DDs are excited about the new pool area!!!!

I love the new rooms. I thought the border would be too much but it looks nice in the room. Now I need to talk my Sis into staying there on our family trip next year.:yay:

Great information here! Thank you to everyone!

I have a question - I have checked the resort map - I can't seem to find a First Aid Station? We have a little boy in our party that sometimes can have a "febreal" (sp?) seizure - basically if he gets an infection (ear), he spikes a fever and can have seizures ... we know what we have to do ... but just want to be close to medical attention if required.

Thanks!

Have not seen a first aid station at a resort (do have one in every park), but there is an emergency clinic in Lake Buena Vista - and you can call Reedy Creek ambulance as well.

Safetymom lives in the area so will know exactly.

My DD has epilepsy and last year had a gran mal seizure on the way to AK just after boarding a bus in North Trinidad. We had her transported to Celebration Medical Center. They were wonderful and took very good care of DD. They contacted her Pediatrician and Neurologist here in Virginia before they treated her. The staff at Disney and at the CBR were wonderful in getting DH and other DD back to resort for insurance info (I went with younger DD in the ambulance) and then took them to hospital. They gave us a card and had us call when we were ready to go back to resort. You can rest easy there is help available if needed.

It's been pretty rainy. I don't know if they poured any cement yet. They have been landscaping the pool area.

When are they going to let people stay in the refurbed rooms? We check in 1 month from today and I'm just curious. Thanks for all of this information! WOW! I feel much better about this resort.

I've been told that this resort is huge. Walking doesn't bother me at all, but I was wondering which islands do people perfer and why?

My favorites are Aruba & Jamaica since we love the little walk across the bridge. I don't think the resort is a lot of walking. It only is a 5-10 minute walk to the food court and it is BEAUTIFUL! The landscaping is great and it is always pleasant with the calypso music and all. :beach:

We love the CBR and I know we'll go visit it while we're staying at BWV!:goodvibes

Hi everyone - first-timer on the DIS board. Is a fridge standard in all rooms of the CBR? I know there is a mini-bar but what about a fridge to store water etc?
