Here are some pictures from today. It's tough getting pictures through the blinds. :)

GREAT photos, safetymom!!!

The room looks fresh - still wonder what's up with the carpet - takes such a beating, surprised it was not replaced.:confused3

Maybe most guests will not realize Nemo has nothing to do with the Caribbean, others will not care, and others will feel Disney is putting advertizing before continuity.

Thanks so much for keeping us in the loop of happenings at CBR!:goodvibes

Great photos! I'm smiling because I'm imagining ace reporter safetymom, in a trenchcoat, wearing a fedora, camera in hand...getting the scoop!! :cool1:

LilyV - I had the same image of SafetyMom as well! :rotfl:

Thanks so much SafetyMom for keeping us up to date with the new rooms, it's our very first visit to the CBR in September and I feel I know so much about this resort before I've even arrived! :thumbsup2

Is building 24 and preferred location?

Yep, building 24 is a preferred location. Looks like they will do these rooms first as 24, 25 and 26 are all preferred. But at the rate they do buildings it will not take long to complete the preferred locations.

Hope you get a new room!:goodvibes

Safetymom ~

Thanks for going over there again and taking some new pictures. I think the room looks fine and yay for the bench still being there. The dresser does look a little small so I guess there will be less space for clothes, etc. You also used to be table to put stuff on top of the fridge case. I will probably just pack some extra hangers and hang more stuff up. That is space that I didn't utilize much before because I usually just put my t-shirts in the drawers. I love the color of the new curtains - very soothing.

Are people staying in these rooms already or are they waiting to get more done before assigning them?

Carol

Is there an estimate of when they'll be done with the refurbs? We'll be there in December and I'm wondering if I will get a new room too?

Thanks for all of the great info and detective work on this thread. I was seriously considering an offsite stay for this trip but the rumor of a family suite at a mod stopped me in my tracks. Not only that, but the POTC theme with a pirate ship slide and water play area??? We are so there! I'm praying the family suite rumor to be true.

I also love the Nemo theme. Whenever my youngest child isn't feeling well we curl up together and watch Nemo. It's our "special movie." Nemo is probably my favorite Disney movie of all time.

I'm excited about all of the changes. I thought CB was a resort I'd never get to stay in since we are a family of five. It this all turns out to be true, we'll possibly be staying there next year!

Thanks so much for posting the pics :)

Looks better than I expected seeing the whole room and not just a zoom in on Nemo wall paper border.

Thanks again :)

I keep seeing posts referencing 'free dining' ... do tell ... I am paying more than I care to admit on the dining plan ... going in October staying at CBR

thanks

The free dining plan was offered as a promotion for people visiting between the end of August through late September (dates may be a little off, that's when it has been the last couple years, so it's close). The package had to be booked with the discount code before June 22.

I can't vouch for it personally, but I've consistently read that resorts will hold packages for 5 days prior to check-in without charge.

The bench is still in the new rooms. Lights look the same. The entire 24 building is now Nemo themed. That is the only one they are working on.

I will have more pictures to share later. I took more through the windows.

I called and requested Martinique Building 24. I asked about the refurbs (again) and the castmember said she didn't know anything about it.
