Is 2243 on the corner overlooking the beach? That's where we were last year - 26?? This year. I absolutely love CBR, only mod/value with beaches!!!! Does anyone know of any maps listing the actual room #s ... So I can request a corner and water view?

In 2243 was an inside corner and we were not directly overlooking the beach. we saw more of the "courtyard" however it was a water view room and we did have a small view of the lake/beach.

Going to CBR this Thursday!! So excited!! Working if anyone knows if there are fridges in the pirate rooms???? Not sure if I should bring snacks with us unless we will have a fridge, is there any way to know ahead of time?

There's no way to know ahead of time. But there was a DIS member that was there last week that saw a huge shipment of new fridges dropped off at CBR. They asked one of the CMs installing them and they said CBR should be at 100% completed by the 14th. And since they are close to being done, even if your room happened to not have a fridge, your odds are really good that you will get one if you request one after checking in.

Considering a stay at CBR next summer. We visited the resort on our last trip and fell in love with it !
Anyway , the double beds are going to be tough for us since we are used to a king at home. Queens we can deal with.
Just wondering about ther rehab schedule and if it has been confirmed if they are adding queens yet? We are going in July/August so I am sure they wont be 100% done by then ??? Guess we will have to wait until they start to see a timeframe.

Anyone hear any rumors that they may be adding a fold down type of bed at CBR like at POR riverside ? That would be a GREAT addition to CBR for families. If they dont, is there room or do they even have rollaway beds available ? Not looking to go over the room capacity, just have 2 boys who will NOT sleep together, lol. .

Have not heard a schedule. Our #1 CBR source, mickeystoontown, has been told that queens will be part of the refurb.

Yes, heard that rumor too. But that's all it is right now.

dansdad has already responded that, yes, the resort will be getting queen beds when the refurb starts. So far, nothing has been confirmed on the fold down beds. I suggest that you bring along a twin size air mattress for one of the boys to sleep on. We have brought one several times so that brother & sister wouldn't have to sleep together. With the room configuration that's there now, the air mattress fit perfectly.

I'm not sure if they're available or not. But my BIL/SIL have the same issue as you do so they always buy an air mattress from Amazon and have it shipped to their resort. Just an idea.

I've not heard of anyone getting a rollaway for a while now. But, cots are still mentioned on allearsnet CBR fact sheet. http://allears.net/acc/faq_cbr.htm

What do you mean? They are expected to get Queens too.

Totally a guess on my part, but I would think that they'd still have the full size beds since the pirate shaped bed frame would, more than likely, be rebuilt to fit a queen size mattress.

I can't see them getting rid of the pirate rooms since I am sure that they are a great sell. Who knows with Disney though?!?

We decided to save some money and downgrade from WL to CBR... We're able to add the dining plan at CBR for the same price as WL without the DP so it was kind of a no brainer - plus I fell in love with CBR last time I stayed there...

Question is - all that was left was a preferred room...now if when we arrive and I ask the CM nicely if there are any rooms available in Jamaica (pref buildings 44/45) and they are able to move us will we get a credit on the room since we're going from a pref location to a std? Only reason I ask is not to save money but LOVED our location in Jamaica last year...It was a short walk to OPR and a short walk to busses but just liked the theming over in Jamaica a bit more and found it feeling a little less hectic than other areas of the resort...Maybe im just crazy lol

No you're not crazy. Jamaica 45 is our favorite location too. It never hurts to ask.

My theory is that they have not had any trouble filling CBR even with the double beds. So why not hold out on spending the $$$ to put in queens as long as you can. It is our favorite moderate even with the doubles. And now that Queens are on the way..... look out!!!!!
