Can someone tell me how much the pirate cruise is? Any info on it? We are going for 10 days and have a free day. What ages do you need to be? I think my girls would love this.

When my kids went on the Pirate Cruise (2009) is was roughly $30 per child, was for ages 4-12, and was offered on Sun, Tue, and Fri mornings. My kids had a blast!

What is the best way to make a room request? I requested the Jamaica or Martinique buildings when I made my reservations, but I also want a corner room, preferably on the first floor. Should I call the hotel directly when it is closer to our check in date???

Call Disney (407-W-DISNEY) and have those requests placed on your reservation. That's all you need to do. And then at the time of check-in, ask the front desk CM if your requests were met, and if not, ask if they can still be met, anyway.

I know that Disney publishes direct resort numbers, but it's a magical Disney illusion. All such calls go to a call center, and they don't let those calls through to the resort. They'll act like they're at that resort, and they will take your request and enter it into the system. But you're just better off taking care of it through the main number.

We returned from our first trip to CBR on Saturday and loved it! We got Jamaica 45, first floor as requested and it was perfect. Noise level was minimal and I am a light sleeper. We ate at the food court a few times for convenience and enjoyed it. My girls loved the pool and the beach areas. It was fun to see Illuminations from the resort. Great atmosphere and easy drive to the parks (we had a 15mo with us so we drove often). Only complaint was that busses seemed slow leaving the parks. Otherwise, AWESOME!!

What a great place! We would definitely recommend it and return!

Anyone just get back and used Online Check-in? Just wondering how it was.

We just got back a couple of days ago and did use Online Check-in. However, nothing was ready and the online line was actually moving slower than the regular check-in line. Crazy, huh? I've never experienced this before though. The resort was at 100% that particular night, so I'm sure that was a factor. Room requests were not granted, but I'm sure that would be difficult with the resort full.

Glad you had fun! I have a question since you just got back though. Did you have any issues with off property pizza flyers? I couldn't believe how many pizza flyers were stuffed under our door last week! On one night, my entire family woke up in the middle of the night to the sounds of a man shaking our door as he tried to shove a flyer in!

You are supposed to report those people when that happens. They aren't allowed to do that.

I couldn't believe how many pizza flyers were stuffed under our door last week! On one night, my entire family woke up in the middle of the night to the sounds of a man shaking our door as he tried to shove a flyer in!

Yes! We did have many. And there was a pile of them outside our neighbors door. I didn't even think to report them. I would have freaked out if I had heard them trying to shove them under. Annoying!

It was an adventure, but I didn't want to scare anyone with the rest of the story. Dh jumped up to see what was going on when the door shaking started and the pizza guy began yelling and swearing at him!

We called security, who thought I was a CM somehow , and talked to someone at the resort the next day, too. I'm not sure who exactly we spoke with now, (Dh asked for a "manager" and we got some super well dressed guy.) but he really wasn't all that concerned about Orlando Pizza Express. He said they do it "all the time." He did seem upset over Roma's though. Orlando Pizza kept coming back, but Roma's never did.

Oh, we were!! We had A LOT of problems at CBR this time though. I yelled at dh to get back in the room before he said something back when that started. I didn't see it ending well and wanted to call someone right away before the guy made it off property. I never thought to call that pizza place!

The Orlando Pizza place isn't allowed either. I think he seemed kinda defeated in the way he didn't care. I suppose it would be tough to get rid of them completely. I kept one of the ads and it actually encourages you to use your cell phone to call, in case the number is blocked! I'm tempted to try to call it from a Disney phone next time we're there.

They were at our door every day as well sometimes two to three times a day. One night while there on the news they were highlighting pizza companies that slide their "ads" in the hotel doors and had even talked about how one girl (NOT AT DISNEY) was raped by one of the pizza guys delivering ads. It was kinda freaky but again no one was really concerned by it.

We really didn't care for CBR as much as we thought we would. DH wants to try somewhere else next time. It's not that we didn't like it because after all it's gorgeous but it just wasn't what we thought it would be.

We could see it really well near the main pool. Some trees are in the way, but it was great to see it from there, then just stroll back to the room! The first night we thought it was thunder and then realized the second night it was the fireworks! That was the best view we saw, but I heard there are other great views as well!

The beach in Martinique is a great place to see the fireworks too. We had a great view from the chairs there. Looking at the map on the first page of this thread it is the sun in front of building 26.
