Caribbean Beach FAQ part V

We've stayed there many times and never been able to hear our neighbors. The only time we had a problem with that was at the Pop. Never seen any critters, either. We did have an alligator walk past our doorway at the CSR once! I think critters can be found at most all WDW resorts.

We have stayed on both floors at CBR. I really like the top floor better. It just seems a little more private. Plus, like you said - less worries about critters. (Although we did have a frog in our 2nd floor room at POR!) We did hear some noise from our upstairs neighbors when we stayed on the bottom floor. First there was a woman obviously wearing hard sole shoes when she was getting ready in the mornings, on the tile bathroom floor. Then after she left a family moved in and let their kids run and jump before bedtime. None of it was extremely bothersome. My kids slept though it, but I am a very light sleeper.

There are only 2 floors, so if you do take a stroller and had to lug it upstairs, it's only 1 flight of stairs and there is a big landing in the middle.

Those are just my thoughts! I know lots of people love the first floor.

Thanks a bunch to both of you. Even though you had different opinions, it was still very helpful. I am a light sleeper also so that is something to consider. And an alligator!!!!! :scared1: I'm assuming he was little but still, I would have passed out! I love animals, but I'm not into reptiles! That is what I always think about when I see people on here asking about swimming in the lakes at WDW. I mean really... it's Florida... does someone REALLY want to get into that water!?!?! Not this chicken! ;)

I'm reposting this hoping someone will have a suggestion for me. :flower3:

I don't really think it would be too hard to take a stroller up and down 1 set of stairs. I've also read the posts of different animals getting in rooms. I'd much rather carry things up stairs than end up with an unwanted guest in my room. I realize that animals could get to the upper floors as well but would think it's more likely on ground floor.

We didn't hear anything when we stayed on the bottom floor. No critters either. They would be nuts to want to share a room with my 2 legged critters. LOL!!!
Of course when we were there the place seemed like a ghost town. It wasn't crowed at all that week.

Do we need to bring beach towels with us for the pool? I see in the first post it says limited towels are available.

There are towels at the pool. If you need more for your room you can always call housekeeping and request more.

We were there in October, stayed on the first floor -- no critters in either room, and did not hear a single peep, clunk, or thud from the floor above us.

Is there a microwave anywhere at the resort for guest use?? I know that they are not available in the rooms but is there one somewhere else? My DH is a popcorn fanatic and I'm afraid he may need a "fix" while we are at Disney.popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

that i was thinking of great info! I wanted to stay in CBR and now here is our chance!

I asked this question to the Disney Mom's Panel and this was the answer I got:

Q: I've read that there is a live band that plays sometimes at Caribbean Beach Resort. Is there a schedule of when they are playing?

A: Hello!

OK...you have asked a very good question!!! I talked to several Cast Members about your question, and they all tell me there is no longer a live band playing at Caribbean Beach Resort. However, I will say that you are going to LOVE staying and playing at Caribbean Beach Resort!!! This resort is SO much fun!

If you have other question, please let me know!

Have a MAGICAL day!
