There is only 4 people but the other two are not a couple and male and female so they aren't comfortable sleeping in a bed together.

Looking forward to staying here! I am nervous about where our room will be since I did not pay for anything extra! I think that my family will enjoy the tropical setting and the main pool looks amazing!!!

on a side note, I have a friend who just got back from a stay at CBR and they were given a pirate room as an upgrade! How great is that!!

We are checking into CBR on Sunday for the first time. It was originally me, DH and one of our friends. Last minute we have added one of my other friends to the reservation and the 4 of us will be sharing a room. She won't want to sleep in the bed with DH's friend. Is there a way we can request something for her like a cot or something? Thanks

I believe cot's are available for $15 a night. You may need to call ahead to reserve one.

Understood. I just meant that since I'm pretty sure they don't allow you to book more than 4 people to a room, that they probably wouldn't even have cots available (as they may see no need to have them). But another poster believes it is possible, so you may very well be able to do it. It sure will be a tight fit, though.

I'm not sure how big the cots are, but we used a twin air mattress at CBR and it was not crowded at all. :)

That may be another option for you wendyt_ca -- to get an air mattress and take with you. We bought ours at Target for about $30 and take it with us each time we stay at a hotel. It deflates nicely and folds up & fits back in the original box, so we are able to put it in one of our larger/checked pieces of luggage when we fly.

Yes they do. But its not in the grab and go area. Its in the part where they sell t-shirts and hats and etc. I was surprised, I didn't even know that existed back there. They also have all sorts of grocery items too.

I believe that would be Calypso's.

Thank you- that's perfect!

You can request either a particular "island" or specific buildings. I would recommend a request for building 45 (Jamaica) or 51 (Aruba). A room in one of those buildings is a short walk to Old Port Royale. Of course, room requests are not guaranteed, but are granted a lot more times than they are not.

Just called CBR and they said we did get our requests building 45 Jamaica and connecting rooms! Checking in on Thursday this week but for some reason online check-in not working.

trying to complete my garden grocer order and I can't remember how big the fridge is. I was wanting to get some apple juice. Can a standard bottle fit in the door or do I need to get the individual bottles?

Ok I did suggest an air mattress to my friend. Did the one you bought come with a pump?

A half-gallon of milk just fits in the door, so you can kind of use that as a guide (so I think a 64oz bottle of apple juice should fit). Overall though, it's not a very big fridge.

We stayed at CBR for the 1st time last month. It was great!

We requested & received to stay in Martinique, bldg 22 which is non-preferred. It was a great location for bus stop & OPR.

This is a crappy picture, but I wanted to give you a idea of what viewing the Epcot fireworks look like from CBR. We could view them from OPR & from Martinque section.

I will be posting more pics in my Trip Report.

Thanks for posting the pictures! It makes me wish I was there right now. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the CBR.

Did you book directly? Or through a travel agent (TA)? If you used an agent they should handle putting that on your reservation for you.

If you booked yourself, then I think you need to call back reservations & make sure they add your request. I've also heard people say to call the resort direclty a few days before you arrive to re-confirm your request.

Personally we've always uesed a TA & never had a problem w/our requests.

Thanks for the info. I booked it through Disney. So I called Reservations today to make the request. And then I'll call CBR a few days before I arrive and make sure they have the request.

I was wondering about faxing the room request a few days before arrival. I did this for my stay at Pop Century last month, I specifically lined out what I was looking for and why, and then I even gave them a few exact room numbers that would be perfect, and I got my top pick! I wonder if CBR accepts faxes as well?

I suppose it can't hurt. However, there have been conflicting reports about whether or not they accept/look at room requests sent via fax.

Last year I did not but in a building or room request when making my reservations but did send off a FAX to POR a few days prior to our arrival and got exactly what we ask for (Building & Room). Luck not sure but it sure did not hurt.:confused3

This year we did but in a building request via TA, see how it works at CBR :worship:

Thanks mcd!! :thumbsup2

Another question for you folks: this will be our first trip using the buses, and I know there has been information all over this thread, but I was wondering if someone could give a "rundown" of bus-riding advice and guidelines for us rookies? Any tips on dealing with strollers? How long should we expect things to take? Are there major differences between the different parks and DTD? Just any heads up that would be good for someone to know who has never done this before would be much appreciated! Thanks! :)
