Apparently, there is water leaking from the slide into the pump room under it. They seemed pretty confident that it would be remedied by this week.

My DD (13) said that the main slide had a funny smell inside of it. She said it was a mildewy / moldy kind of smell. I'm sure its very hard to drain all the water out of that enclosure, but that kind of smell can't be very healthy. So, my DDs only used it once or twice, they did the old one instead. It didn't have that smell last year, I know because I went down it then!!! :rotfl:

Can anyone estimate cab fare from CBR to WL, CRB to CR and from the Poly to CBR?

TIA,
Denae

YAY! Thank you for the slide info, that is awesome. We can't wait to try CBR - we are doing a different resort each trip and I'm very excited to see this one.

I'd also love to know an estimate on cab fare from CBR to MK - we have an early CP breakfast and I'm thinking cabbing it may be easier, faster and less stressful. Do they charge more if you need a larger car? There will be 7 of us so I assume we'd need a van.

We returned from a lovely week's stay at CBR on September 17. Our room was Aruba 5633. We didn't do a room request, but this location was perfect--super close to the bus stop, and we could see the Illuminations fireworks really well! We enjoyed the food court and gift shop too--an overall great resort!

What is the fastest way to the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary from the CBR?? I should know this but I just can't remember how we did it on some previous trips!! I am thinking that we took a bus to Epcot and then the monorail but...help me out?

I would think the bus from CBR to MK and then monorail to those resorts. Thats what we will do when we got to Chef Mickey's for dinner.

I can't help specifically, but I haven't seen another answer so will toss this out for what it is worth.

Several years ago ('08) we did a cab from POR to Pop then over to the Petty Racing Experience (our group split up & stayed at different resorts.... we never do things the easy way. :rolleyes1 ).
Total for 4 adults, w/tip was $40.

I know that is totally different than this, and it has been a few years, but I have to imagine prices haven't gone up that much, and w/out a pickup in the middle, you have to be looking at around the same or less.

Check w/Bell Services the evening before you need the transportation & they will get you squared away.

how long is the walk from the farthest building to the main pool AND how bad will the buses be january 30th - feb 2nd?

At a very liesurely pace...the farthest walk should be less than 10 minutes. The length of the walks to OPR seems to get greatly exaggerated, for some reason. Anyway, you could always reserve a preferred room or request a closer buidling if you have a non-preferred room.

The bus issue seems to get exaggerated as well. You may end up with a long wait or two getting to a certain park, but this will be the exception and not the rule. A lot of it is luck, too. Sometimes, you just miss the bus you need. What does seem to be problematic is if you leave a park at closing, you may have a long line to get on a bus to get back.

Thanks! I will ask bell services - great idea! We are fine with taking the bus to MK (generally drive to the other three parks) but with such an early breakfast I will be anxious about waiting for the bus and making it on time.
