We booked a pkg. with a TA. We requested pirate roomsx2 for our family of 5! Requested wheelchair acc. due to our DD16. We also asked if the rooms could be connecting due to the care for our DD. I am paid in full now! I asked the TA if she would follow up on my requests. She called and said the acc. room requested is done. The pirate rooms could not be confirmed??? I called the CBR direct they could not answer my questions??

Are you sure that's not backwards? Pirate rooms should be easily confirmable - you have to pay extra for them so they're not just a "special request" but part of the booking process. Connecting rooms, on the other hand, are special requests that Disney tries to accommodate but can't guarantee.

However, if you need a handicap-accessible room you might want to go through special needs - there are specific rooms that have roll-in showers, handle bars in the bathrooms, etc. Those CAN be guaranteed for you, but only if you go through special needs.
 
I am so excited! We have never stayed at the CBR! Only Pop, and All Stars.
Can I get a package deivered there for me to pick up? If so, I was thinking Tide (cheaper then buying it in the laundry area, downey, and some snacks & water) Can I do this and how long in advance should I mail it out?
We leave May 7th-14th (then cruise the Wonderfor 3 days! Woohoo!)

Anyone?
 
Yes, you can have packages delivered to the hotel. Bell services will hold it for you until you arrive. Lots of people on here use www.greengrocer.com to order stuff like you are describing. The deliver to all the WDW resorts all the time.

I know I read in another thread that some people who booked pirate rooms were called and upgraded to other resorts because the pirate rooms were not available. No clear reason for this, although possibly because not enough of the rooms have been completed to satisfy the demand for them within the next few weeks. Perhaps this is why they could not give you a guarantee on the pirate rooms? Although if your trip is not happening within the next few weeks, I would guess they would be able to give you pirate rooms.

Awesome thank you! We will be placing an order and saving some money. Last year we ate Breakfast there every morning at the resort, that gets too pricey!

I called the TA back after reading this post. She replied I requested all of the above for you!:confused3 I said I am more then willing to pay the extra she was not aware that there would be a charge!:confused3 Anyway, she was making calls and letting us know!:confused3

Has anyone in a standard room been "bumped" to a different resort? Or is it just the Pirate rooms?

I believe it was posted earlier that it was just the pirate rooms because they overbooked them and they are not all done yet with the rehab.

Whoops, sorry! You're absolutely right...I don't know why, but I always think of green grocer when I mean garden grocer.

what size/type of coffee filters do the machines take? Is there coffee in the room for the makers? We are bringing our own tea but wasn't sure about the filter size.
 
Is there wireless access anywhere in the resort if we choose not to purchase it in our room? Thanks!
 
How many of the rooms at the CBR have been recently renovated? Trying to decide between CSR and CBR for a pre-night. Are more of the rooms updated at CBR? Also, are there flat screens in the newly renovated rooms? Thanks for your help!
