Here are pics that I took of the Nemo rooms in August, 2008.

Couple pics of the safe. My husband has epilepsy and takes a lot of meds. We were able to fit in a PSP, portable DVD player, a set of keys, his meds and a slim wallet:

Hope this helps. I am sure somebody will be posting a link or pics of the pirate themed rooms soon.

Good idea about putting med's in the safe. I also am on lots of meds & never thought about putting them in the safe. Thanks for the idea!!

Does anyone know which Publix is closest to CBR? I am thinking about ordering a birthday cake for my daughter for our trip in Dec. from there. We would also like to get some snacks to have in the room. I can bring a cake from there to a restaurant and they will serve it, correct? Thanks!

We always go to the Publix on Hwy. 192, also known as Irlo Bronson Hwy. When you leave the CBR, go left until you reach World Drive. Take the Hwy. 192 exit that goes to the left. Go down to Mile Marker #9 (can't miss them, they are purple and huge). Publix will be on your left at the light beside a drug store. I believe the drug store is Walgreens. It took us less than 10 minutes to get there from the CBR.

I don't know about whether or not a restaurant will serve the cake for you. I am sure somebody else can answer that question.

I always lock them up. Just one bottle of his epilepsy medicine is $700.00! All in all, I think they total over $1,500.00 for a months supply of medication. Can't afford to have them lost or stolen.

I am so excited!!! I just decided to book a trip today with the 4/3 deal & we are staying at CBR. We stayed there in 2004 in Martinique & we liked it. I do like POFQ better but when I called today they had CBR or CSR & I picked CBR so now I have TWO tickers & very very happy!!!!!

I just booked CBR, as well, after the 4/3 deal came out. I've never stayed there before, though. The resort looks fabulous! :thumbsup2

Has anyone ever requested to have all fresh linens in the room? Is it a huge problem to request this?

DD, DS and I are all seriously allergic to dust and mold. I usually have problems in hotels and DS has ended up with an ear infection every time we have ever stayed in a hotel more than one day. I really am worried about the fact that only the sheets will be fresh. I picked CBR because of the new remodel thinking that would help with some of this.

I've never requested it but I have read on the boards that you can call ahead of time and tell them your situation. I've heard the room was thoroughly cleaned and all linens replaced with fresh ones.

The other option is to take a cab, it is fairly close - so I think a cab would cost about $10.00. The other option is to take a bus to Epcot then walk through Epcot out the International Gateway to the Beach Club.

Thanks for all the great pictures and information everyone! I am planning our first Disney family vacation for Jan. 2010 and love the look of CBR.:yay: How likely is it that we will get the village we request when we book our room? I know they can't promise to fulfill your request, but has anyone had problems getting what they aked for, or at least close to it?

Welcome to the DIS!! :goodvibes

We have stayed at CBR twice and it is our favorite resort!

On our first stay we received our request on Jamaica 45 top floor. On our second trip we requested Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51 top floor, and got Aruba 51 bottom floor. So I think they really do try to honor requests, but they just can not all be met everytime. Good luck! :wizard:

Where and what is the closest grocery store to CBR? And how long of a drive is it? I'm trying to decide if I want to pack everything with me and bring it on the drive, have it delivered, or pick it up once we get there....

We were at CBR from 2/28-3/7. I just love CBR.

Room: Martinique 2430. Very close to the quiet pool and the parking lot. We rented a car this time, so being close to the parking lot was a great advantage.

The room was clean, but very humid. A 1x1 wet (soaking wet) spot was on the carpet near the bathroom. Maintenance came very quickly and tried to dry the area but it remained wet for the first 2 days.

Mousekeeping: GREAT! Toiletries were replaced as needed. Towels were replaced as needed. The room was cleaned everyday. And, we got a bunny towel animal. We left $5.00 every day for them. The mousekeeper knew not to put the bed spread on the beds without me leaving a note, she just knew since it was folded up in the corner. I asked on our 4th night that the linens be replaced, since I got sick and they were replaced.

Hot water: Would have been nice, since it was cold. Again, Maintenance came and checked out the problem and confirmed that there was a problem. By the second day, I gave up. We asked for another room (suggested by a nice woman I met at CBR when I asked her if she had hot water in her room), but they only had one available in Trinidad. By our 4th day, the water was hot. Yippy.

Pirate adventure: My DD had a BLAST! I highly recommend it.

Food Court: Always great. Plenty of selections and it is not possible to get tired of eating Mickey Waffles every morning.

Concierge: Mary at nighttime was GREAT! She helped rearrange some of our ADR’s since the weather not cooperating for the first few days. A morning concierge was very rude and nasty. She needs to learn the cancelation polices of certain places and not blame the guest that some of the ADR’s were under our last name being misspelled. I know my last name. I thought that they went under reservation number or phone number. I just avoided her, if I had a question.

Pools: FABULOUS!!! My dd had a great time and they pools are very nice.

I can understand that people may have some problems at the resort that they choose to stay at but I have NO COMPLAINTS. CBR is great. We were sad to leave.

We are staying at CBR for our first time in MAY:goodvibes
Quick question about the toiletries....is there a seperate shampoo and conditioner, or is the all in one type? Also, the hairdryer...is it the white one that is mounted on the wall? Or a full size one like at the deluxe resorts?
Thanks!!

I can't remember if I asked this before. We are leaving in 6 days for the pirate rooms!! Which buildings are complete- I was hoping for 34 or 35. Also anyone ever order a cake from shutters? Has anyone read that they have tried online checkin for CBR?
TIA
