Every room at CBR has an iron, full size ironing board. You can leave yours at home. :)

Are the pool slides that were installed in the individual village pools during the main pool renovation still around?

Okay CBR fans. I saw posted on All Ears web site that someone wrote in to say that some of the pirate "barrel" furniture is in some of the rooms. When they inquired further into this, they were told that the furniture would be going into the rooms as it arrived. Do we know if there is anyone out there who has stayed in one with the right/new furniture? It was hinted at that the furniture should all be in by very end of March. Anyone heard anything else? I am hoping against hope that this furniture is in by May when we go for DGS's surprise b-day trip. He keeps asking me if I can come home (he lives in NH and I live in KY) to see him for his birthday. It is tough to keep secrets from grandchildren! He does not know he will be seeing me and will not know until I pick them at Orlando airport. Here's hoping for the true pirate furniture by then!

I am still praying that a pirate themed room will become available for our stay. So far no luck - but I still have a 100 days to change it !
If for some reason I can't change- we have a water-view room. We would like to be close to the refill the diet coke station ! But I would also love to walk out our room and put my feet in the sand. (None of that available here in Colorado.) - So what would everyone suggest? I want to feel like I got my extra 25 dollars worth if I am not going to get the themeing. Also I have read there are preferred and water rooms. With the water would we still be able to be in any building? Or are "water views" in certain areas? I would also like to say " water view" does not mean -staring at pool to me :) - Would like it to be sand and beach. Thanks so much for all your guys great reports and help about this resort- it will be our first time and I can not wait !!

Keep trying for the Pirate room, as one may open up for you. As for the water view, given that you want the sand and beach view, don't do it. At Disney, a water view can easily be an obscure view of the village quiet pool, or it can be a beautiful view of the lake -- but no guarantee which. If you find an available Pirate Room, no matter where you are in that village (Trinidad South) you won't be far from the sand and beach, and you may end up with a view of the lake as well. Have fun!!

I kind of thought the same thing when we walked into our Nemo room in August. But, after I thought about it a bit, I realized they probably didn't want to go too over the top with the theme so it'd still appeal to the adults.

How was August in WDW?
Weather?
Crowds?
We are tentatively thinking August 2009 CBR - Dh actually booked and I chickened out! I can't beleive I chickened out? :confused3 :rotfl:

Question for Amy&Dan: Is there a curtain that separates the bedroom from the bathroom? As I mentioned, oldest DS is going with his girlfriend, but they will also have a 13-year old boy with them and I'm worried about her getting ready in morning, etc., with the 13-year old.

We had never been in August and we were pleasantly surprised. The temperature wasn't too hot and it rained a bit on and off. The crowds weren't bad either. That being said, we usually go the last week of May through the first week of June. The crowds then are pretty thick. I have some August crowd pics somewhere. I'll try and find them and pm them to you.

Not Amy&dan, but wanted you to know that there is a curtain that separates the bedroom from the bathroom/sink/closet area. Have a pic of one in the new Nemo room. Just let me know if you want me to post it.

Thanks, no need to post it...I assume it is similar to the one at the CSR. Just wanted to be sure considering who is sharing the room. Thanks, again.

where can I see pics of the pirate room & the nemo room? I looked at all the links on the first page.. am I just missing it??
thanks :)
