Good morning everyone from beautiful CBR. We checked in Tuesday morning and absolutely love it here. It's definitely our new favorite resort! When we checked in we were given a room in Barbados. We had requested Aruba or Jamaica. The friendly CM gladly checked availability and gave us a room in Jamaica 45. If anybody has any picture requests just let me know!

Anything you want to post to keep us going until it's our turn to check in!

Hi all, we leave next Friday My sister and her two kids will also be staying at CBR. When we booked we asked for adjoinging rooms. I am wondering if I need to send a fax in and request this again. I don't have time to read all posts so sorry if tis has been asked before. I don't want to make too many requests but this is by far the one I want and need the most. I have two small children and would love to be next door to her for help. Thanks for taking the time to answer repeated questions on this thread!

You should call reservations and have them do a "travel with" on both reservations. This way they will be linked and you have a better chance of being close to each other. Just use that term when you call.

I don't know if this has been asked, but we will be returning to the CBR in July since 2002. We've used Magical Express the last two times we visited, we stayed at the AKL, when we check out, do we call bell services to come get us to bring us to the Customs House (I'm guessing that's where the bus will drop us off when we arrive) to get the bus back to the airport? We have a 11:15AM flight out, just wondering.....

We just went to the bus area in front of the AKL when we were there last time, and there was no Magical Express when we stayed at the CBR back in 2002. Just wondering how this is going to work this time around.

Yep, just call Bell Services sometime the day before you are checking out and schedule a pick up time. They will come in a van and pick you and your luggage up and take you to the Custom House. They will come right to your room and help you with your luggage. Very quick and convenient.

Yep, just call Bell Services sometime the day before you are checking out and schedule a pick up time. They will come in a van and pick you and your luggage up and take you to the Custom House. They will come right to your room and help you with your luggage. Very quick and convenient.

But call early, as the earlier pick up times fill up quickly. We called for an 8:00 am pick up but had to take an 8:30 time, not too much difference but we had a 9:15 ADR @ Ohana. We made it in time though.

10 days until we'll be relaxing poolside at CBR once again! We had a preferred room (Martinique 24) last time, and this time, we've requested Aruba 51 or Jamaica 45. I'll be sure to post pics and a review when we return!

Hey, maybe we will be neighbors. We will be there the same time (arrive 6/13) and also requested Aruba 51 or Jamaica 45. Great minds think alike!! We need adjoining rooms so I hope that doesn't hurt our chances. We will be a Mom (me), DS-9, DD-7 and my parents. Say hi if you see us!!

Are they showing movies at CBR? I saw something planned for Halloween and wondered if pool side movies were the norm.

Can you confirm what time the pool actually closes? In 2007 it was midnight, now I'm hearing 10pm. I think that is too early on vacation at wdw!

When we were last there in March/April '08, they had movies on the "island". I remember someone saying that was because the main pool was closed for refurbishment at that time. I would also like to know if movies were a usual activity for the resort.

I don't recall ever seeing the daily activities listed anywhere online. But, there was a large sign right outside Old Port Royale that had a complete list with times.

The pool does close at 10 and there are no movies being shown that I've heard of or seen posted anywhere.

It closed at 11pm when we were there in Janaury.

I really wish I had taken a picture of the board. I think there was a hoola hoop contest. I know that there was some kind of beach activity. I think it was sand castle building. Gosh, I can't believe I can't remember. They seemed like really fun things.

Does anyone know if there are toasters in the rooms. I'm guessing they don't but am making a grocery list so I figured it was better to ask.

We're going next week too, so "hi!" to the other two people I saw that mentioned they're going then too. We're so excited...it's our first trip ever! It will be me, DH and our two boys, ages 6 and 7. We leave next Friday 6/12.
