Thanks for posting the pictures. We will be staying in a pirate room in August and are super excited. The furniture looks so fun. I wish Disney would do more of the themed rooms at other resorts.

We were at TS and were always the last stop before heading to the parks. We rarely stood on the bus either. Coming back into the resort, I think the order was Jamaica, Aruba, Barbados, Martinique, OPR, TN, TS. Someone will correct me if I am wrong!!

We absolutely loved CBR-we just got back last week from a fabulous trip

Buses headed to Magic Kingdom and buses headed to Downtown Disney start at Martinique, and from there stop at Old Port Royale, Trinidad North, Trinidad South, Jamaica, Aruba and finally Barbados before leaving the CBR complex to go to the destination.

Buses headed to Epcot, buses headed to Animal Kingdom, and buses headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios start at Jamaica, and from there stop at Aruba, Barbados, Martinique, Old Port Royale, Trinidad North, and finally Trinidad South before leaving the CBR complex to go to the destination.

We requested early mousekeeping and it was honored every day and they did a great job!!

A silly question but what is the best way to request early mousekeeping? Did you request it at check-in or did you just call them from the room? Would we have to do this everyday to remind them? We like to come back to the room at lunchtime everyday so it would be nice to have the room ready.

Hi: I tried to comb through the thread... but does anyone know if both Martinique and Trindad North have been refurbed (those are the preferred areas right?). We will be there next month and I want to request one that has been refurbed - if they are both done then no request needed I guess!

Yes, all of the non-Pirate rooms have been refurbished.

Only half of Martinique is preferred location ... just FYI.

We just got back from 8 nights at CBR in a Pirate room. We loved the room and loved the resort. The grounds are beautiful and have a wonderful peaceful feeling. Our location seemed very quiet and uncrowded even though the rooms were occupied. It was not a far walk to the pool and I actually enjoyed walking along the water. I do not understand the complaints about the distance.

The room was so amazing and the kids as well as my husband and myself loved the theme. We had a water view so our room looked out at the lake. There was also a park and pool right outside our room.

The main pool was awesome. We had so much fun there and the kids wanted to swim there instead of going to the water parks. The water slides were perfect for my 6 and 9 year olds.

I highly recommend this resort. You will not be disappointed. If you have any questions, please ask.

Thanx for easing my mind about the walk. How did your kids feel? So many people criticize the distance. We have 8,6and 2(stroller bound) to have to walk with. We are so excited about the new theme and I know my kids r going to love water playground. I would hate to think theat my room location will dampen my vacation. We r just too excited!

All we do is when we get into our room after checking in we call mousekeeping and request it. They will ask you what time you would like it done and thats it!! We wanted it done before noon because we always come back around that time to head to the pools to realx and sometimes have a nap. The room was always done each day of our stay and we even got back around 11am one day!! Hope that helps you a bit!!

Hi there, I'm not the original poster you quoted but I can tell you that I timed my walk from Trinidad South to Old Port Royale. It took me 6 1/2 minutes and that was at a normal pace. I feel the walking time from Trinidad South to Old Port Royale is waaaay over exaggerated.

I timed our walk from main pool to TS was 7 minutes; that was with a 8 yo. He never complained. The scenery is nice; there are ducks and turtles to look at that keep kids attention.

I saw a post about another resort and was wondering if the CBR had the same types of soaps. Anyone have the scoop on shampoo and soap at the CBR. Actually I know you do It would be great to not have to worry about the little things.. Also do they have lotion? TIA

I was under the impression that all the resorts carry the same soap and shampoo...I don't thinkt the mods and value carry lotion.

I was wondering if you could request bed rails at CBR? I am thinking that we might be better off using them for our 16 month old instead of the pack-n-plays? Ofcourse one of us would be in there with him. What do you think?

Yes, you can request bed rails. I actually forget to, but called the front desk and they were brought up to my room within minutes.

Thank-you! Does anyone have pictures of the rails on the bed. I have never seen them before and am wondering if they are high enough.

I have read in the past that it is recommended to fax the resort with your room requests a couple days prior to arriving.

Does anyone know if this is still recommended or has any impact on room assignments?

The best thing to do is make sure you have your room requests in your reservation. Then no need to fax. You can also make a room request when you do online check in.

Thinking of adding 2 nights to our vacation at CBR. Have a question though. Are there elevators? My mom can't walk up and down stairs very well ( a few stairs but not a flight of stairs). She wouldnt be able to make it up to the second floor if they assigned our room there.
